Hip-hop star Jay-Z is lending his support to U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama by holding two free concerts in his honor.

The rapper - real name Shawn Carter - hopes to encourage young people to vote for the Democrat at the upcoming November elections.

The free shows will take place in Detroit, Michigan on Saturday (October 4th, 2008) and in Miami, Florida on Sunday (October 5th, 2008).

Tickets will be distributed through Obama's local campaign offices, according to Allhiphop.com."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS:  We all have to get out and Barack The Vote on November 4th.  Certainly, seeing a free Jay-Z concert is great - fun for everyone involved - but, even he realizes that he is NOT the star of these events. QUESTION: Is this a mini "Heart Of The Oval Office" tour? LOL.

Anyway, Y.O.U. don't think that Jay-Z would rather be @ home in Alpine, New Jersey, spooning with Beyonce and eating croissants? C'mon Detroit and Miami people, don't waste Jay-Z's time and, more importantly, do not waste your right to vote!
