Beyonce Ft. J. Cole - Party (Official Music Video)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: I know, I know, getting famed Hip Hop recluse Andre 3000 to record a verse for a song is a feat of strength the likes of which few artists, no matter how well connected, can pull off - in this case, that's where being Beyonce makes all of the difference in the world. However, apparently even Ms. Knowles-Carter doesn't possess a carrot and stick combination tempting enough to get 3 Stacks to actually appear in a video! I mean, the man clearly has his limits ... lol.

Aight, so I get all of that my nigga, but what I don't understand is how on the face of GOD's green earth ANYBODY could think that J. "International Uni-Brow Ambassador" Cole could ever prove a suitable replacement for the lyrical genius of Hip Hop's most highly regarded hermit! SMH. Message To Beyonce, Roc Nation, et. al.: Y.O.U. know there's nothing that says that yall had to put a rapper on this song, right? This Teddy Riley inspired classic early 90's sounding tune would stand perfectly fine all on it's own.

Anyway, press play and catch pre-deflatable-baby-bump Beyonce in full swing ... and promptly press STOP @ approximately the 2:12 mark to avoid the ruin that follows ... lol. Cheers!

Jahlil Beats Signs To Roc Nation.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Aaaaaaaaaand, another 1 bites the dust! LOL. Nahh, lemme chill. Big S/O to Jahlil Beats on signing to Jay-Z's burgeoning(?) Roc Nation empire. So what J. Cole STILL can't get a respectable photo op with his boss!? So what Jay Electronica makes 2 songs a year and - aside from notoriously out-of-touch with reality message board shut-ins - his seriously over hyped buzz has dwindled to weak signal/low battery status!? Jahlil Beats is different! Hopefully the collect-a-check-execs that comprise the nuts-and-bolts of this label's day-to-day operation do right by the young production wizard behind what was arguably the song of Summer 2011, Meek Mill's "I'ma Boss".

Message To Roc Nation: Please try not to ruin this little nigga's life before he even hits 25 years old b. Have a fucking heart.

Anyway, press play and watch as contracts get signed and Jay-Z, Ty-Ty, et. al. toast some of the home team's very own Armand de Brignac "Ace Of Spades" bubbly to this Akai® MPC3000 prodigy on the rise. Cheers!

Warner Bros Present: The Losers - In Theaters April 23rd!

The First Lady Of LiveSyle Says: The name on the screenshot should explain why I took interest into this movie. Zoe has the best character name ever! I hope she doesn't disappoint me. Y.O.U. can find me front row and center to see her and Idris amongst the others come April 23rd. Not to mention, I have the
Annual
St. Johns Fashion Show and the Spring Concert with J. Cole and Ryan Leslie the same weekend. (A lil' shameless promo never hurt. LOL!)
Let's see if I can manage a LiveStyle field trip to the movies, I'm sure some of Y.O.U. movie buffs would appreciate our presence.
I'm out here makin' moves... Catch me while Y.O.U. can!

NEW MUSIC: J. Cole. Yay or Nay? I'm Still On The Fence.

Download Link: J.Cole - The Warmup

So I've been hearing quite the buzz about some kid that went to St. Johns with me and just signed to Roc Nation. But I have NO CLUE who he is! And from the looks of things, a lot of Y.O.U. dont either. So partake in this video. It should fill Y.O.U. in just as much as I would. And then some..

While my friend KLEPONE and I are not signing off on him just yet, "Dreams" featuring Brandon Hines caught our attention. All I can say is that Drizzy might want to step it up before J. Cole takes all his limelight. I feel the comparisons coming. Tell me what Y.O.U. think.

Signing Off...
Aisha

P.S.
If you're clueless as to who Brandon Hines is, Stay Tuned Kids!

UPDATE!
EDITOR'S NOTE: CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Yet further evidence that in this Mad Max-like wasteland of talent that mediocrity is the new "good" and that good is the new "great".

Sure the young homie reppin' "Fayettenam" (Fayetteville N.orth C.arolina slow poke) has an enormous amount of potential, however, the derth of viable candidates for the oh so coveted Hip Hop "throne" has created a largely internet based vacuum where after a good freestyle or 2 message boards and blogs fill up with dick riders all hailing the "flavor of the month". I mean, haven't we ALL been here before? Asher Roth? Kid Cudi? Charles "The Pink Punching Bag" Hamilton? Insert random overhyped MC's name here x______________________________________.

Listen, if Y.O.U. truly do think that J. Cole is the "future", then please do him the greatest favor and grant him the space to grow and mature into the artist that he is destined to be. The hype stops here. Livestyle is all about quality control my friends. Please make a note of it.
