CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: See, now THIS is that bullshit. Initially, I readily recognized the merit in Beanie Sigel's displeasure with his former boss Jay-Z, however, he becomes a significantly less sympathetic character with each diss record. Why? Because his argument is now spiralling into a hissy fit tantrum of errant shots that will surely ricochet and kill the little career that he has left.

Message To Beanie Sigel: For Y.O.U., this "beef" is personal and very real. For 50 Cent this is simply a convenient gimmicky addition to his tried-and-true signature rap "beef" marketing plan. Oh yeah, in case Y.O.U. aint get the memo my nigga, this shit hasn't helped your new friend's album sales too much. Prepare to get dropped kid.

Hitting Newsstands Next Month: 50 Cent Covers The Dec. 2009/Jan.2010 Issue Of XXL Magazine x Is Set To Drop "I Go Off" With Beanie Sigel This Friday.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: The abbreviation for 50 Cent's newest, already leaking like liquor through a cheap corner store plastic cup, album B.efore I. S.elf D.estruct could easily be slightly altered and reinterpreted as B.ecause I. S.elf P.romote ... lol.

Ever the opportunist, the man covering next month's year end double issue of XXL is set to release a brand new single alongside disgruntled former Roc-A-Fella employee Beanie Sigel this Friday. Ohhhhhhhhh, "I Go Off" drops on Friday October 13th, 2009! The promotional tag line for this record reads: "Friday the 13th ... The nightmare begins". Shiver me timbers! LOL!

All bullshit aside, expect the Broad Street Bully to go in on this joint and expect 50 Cent to reap the rewards. It is what it is.

50 Cent x Beanie Sigel Interview @ Power 99 FM In Philadelphia = Curtis Gives A Lesson In Leverage.

Uno.

Dos.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: It is no secret that 50 Cent has long been itching like a dope sick fiend on the avenue @ 8AM for a valid reason to go toe-to-toe with Jay-Z and playing Captain-Save-A-Bro to Beanie Sigel has afforded him the perfect opportunity to go to war.

As I have said previously, I do believe that Beanie Sigel's "beef" with Young Vito holds weight, but, he is clearly being played as a pawn in 50 Cent's ongoing I-am-desperate-to-remain-relevant chess game. Can't Y.O.U. just see the battery pack in The Broad Street Bully's back? Maaaaaaaaan, 50 Cent is a bonafied hustler! Duracell® aint got shit on this ... lol.

A LiveStyle Editorial: Beanie Sigel Vs. Jay-Z AKA "I Aint Your Average Cat" Aint Your Average Diss Track.

Dos.

Tres.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: This most unfortunate of stories has been brewing since last Friday afternoon, but, as a matter of strategy, I have been reluctant to weigh in because I knew that it would develop into much more, and, as usual, I was right.

While the "What You Talkin' About (I Aint Your Average Cat)" track aint nothing nice, in his interview, Beanie Sigel gave, what I deem to be, a heartfelt admonition (NOTE: Not to be confused with your standard contrived rap "beef" meat marketing plan diss) of his former boss and friend Jay-Z. I can certainly see his point. For the record though, I don't even feel like the big homie was throwing shots @ Sigel on his BP3 Intro ... rappers sure are a hyper sensitive bunch.

Anyway, I myself have always wondered why Jay-Z didn't appear on more singles of his artists and push them towards greater success. I mean, Jay-Z's "Blueprint" could have easily been their cheatsheet ... lol. His name alone could have propelled his artists to platinum plaque status, but, he reneged. Why?

Well, in my esteemed opinion, it is because as great as he is, Shawn Corey Carter is a selfish asshole.  Mind Y.O.U. I do think that he is the "bee's knees", however, I do have unique insight here as I have personally seen Mr. Young Vito "Voice Of The Young People" look his Louis Vuitton Millionaire shaded eyes the other way and not even acknowledge many of his old hardbody comrades from the streets of Brooklyn as well ... I know this much to be true. That having been said, Beanie Sigel is no saint, his addictions made him unbearable @ specific points in his life and he should not be viewed without blame. You've gotta man up my G. As with much of life, this is complicated.

I truly hope that both parties can reconcile, but, I can't call it my nigga. Jay-Z is the type of person who has no qualms with cutting people off when he feels, correctly or incorrectly, that they are not holding their own. I invite Y.O.U. To hear ALL sides of this tumultuous story. Let's see how this unfolds.

Guess Who's Bizzack!?

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Yes, my New York Yankees are finally back in the World Series and it feels so good! Already dubbed the "Turnpike Series" - for pitting The Bronx Bombers against the defending champion Philadelphia Phillies in an I-95 Junior's Cheesecake vs. Philly Cheesesteak grudge match for the ages (NOTE: The 2 have not met in the World Series since 1950) - this showdown promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

Word up, I haven't felt quite like this since waaaaaaaaay back in my High School days when it seemed a relative fait accompli that each November there would be a triumphant pinstripe parade through the "Canyon Of Heroes" where the World Series trophy would be hoisted hgih as a brilliant blizzard of colorful ticker tape swirled in the skies above. This is almost too much for words. As such, I believe that my feelings would best be expressed by the accompanying musical selection that I have included below from Scarface featuring Jay-Z and Beanie Sigel. LOL. Holla @ ya boy in BK!

Jadakiss Brings Out His Former Rival Beanie Sigel Live @ Powerhouse 2009 In Philly.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Flashback to 2001 and Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss would be the last 2 lyrical titans 1 would expect to see sharing a stage. Thankfully, Beanie didn't have to get "a hearse for Kiss" and J-To-The-Muah never followed through with his threat to put Sigel's cornrows on the yellow line.

Assuredly bonded by their knack for making piss-poor business decisions and, dope though they are, never quite reaching their awesome artistic potential, nowadays, these brothers certainly have a lot more in common. Friends helping friends is what it's all about ... lol. Good shit.

The Nike Air Jordan AJ XI Retro "Space Jam" Limited Quickstrike Release = Once Again, It's On!

"One of the most iconic sneakers, in one of the most iconic colorways, is set to release on Black Friday, 2009. We’ve showed you these before, but now they are available for the copping at a reduced price point. To the chagrin of many, these patent leather beauties will be a limited Quickstrike release. At a list price of $175 spankys, a mark-up of 75 Washingtons could be worth-while when Thanksgiving dinner is considered. The shoe makes it for most, but if not, peep the recently released packaging detail. $250"

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: I L.O.V.E. yall, but, sometimes family can really suck. I once had a near deadstock condition year 2000 retro pair of these iconic Nike Air Jordan "Space Jam" kicks until they were sneakily swiped right from under my nose by a close family friend - he was young and I, in my wish to not be arrested for child abuse, permitted him to slip through the cracks of Livestyle admonition without so much as a cold stare. His crime was certainly worthy of a roundhouse kick to the grill OR, @ the very least, an old school eye jammy or a speed knot, however, I've got much bigger fish to fry.

Fast forward, and, thankfully, the Air Jordan XISpace Jam” sneaker retros are set for an uber limited Quickstrike release just in time for the holiday season on "Black Friday", November 27, 2009. If you're like me though and Y.O.U. can't wait for the Fall, Y.O.U. can drop a few extra dollars and cop these bad boys a few months early. Is it worth it? I damn sure think so. Yes, it's almost time to take it back to school and it is officially time to stunt. Suck my kicks!

BONUS:

Although the phrase, "once again, it's on" obviously cannot be singularly attributed to the above record, I truly feel like this criminally neglected Beanie Sigel and Jay-Z song is a gem that I simply must appraise for Livestyle loyalists. Press play and groove out homie ... "I'm the shit, I'm a sewer nigga". Talk to me. Holla @ ya boy in BK!
