CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Longtime readers of Livestyle are no doubt quite familiar with my aversion to award shows. I just flat out don't like them and derive 0 joy from watching such vainglorious celebrity circle jerks. My revulsion only becomes more pronounced when it comes to BET. Yup, piss poor production budgets and classless-yet-inexplicably-arrogant artists really grind my gears ... lol. "Niggafest" is NOT the wave my friend. I've said all this to say, don't expect ANY type of extensive coverage of the 2011 BET Hip Hop Awards on this side. Yall niggas are just gonna get the cyphers ... and only the handful that I like! LOL. Bully pulpit style my nigga! This is Livestyle.

NEW MUSIC: Eminem Ft. Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Stat Quo, Ca$his And Bishop - Syllables (Dirty)(NO DJ)

Streaming Audio/Download Link: Eminem Ft. Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Stat Quo, Ca$his And Bishop - Syllables (Dirty)(NO DJ)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Eminem featuring Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and some other guys. Yes, Y.O.U. read this slightly improbable all-star lineup correct ... this is, indeed, an Eminem record entitled "Syllables" that features Jay-Z, Dr. Dre AND 50 Cent ... as well as some other guys ... lol!

If this epic assemblage of Hip Hop titans doesn't completely do it for Y.O.U., then surely their combined unilateral rejection of today's watered down quantity in favor of true artistic quality should be more than enough to bring Y.O.U. to your feet in a raucous chorus of harmonious applause! Look, even if this song isn't completely brilliant, its message is.

Business is business, but let us NOT forget that Hip Hop is an art. We want lyrics! Fuck ALL yall little snot-nose Lame.Com niggas! Step ya game up.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: FACT: I am not a huge fan of awards shows. I simply don't care about them. Admittedly, though, the more ghetto the worse (Yes! I'm talking to Y.O.U. BET and OZONE Magazine ... lol). Nevertheless, I am bound by Blogger pop-culture social contract to provide my prized readers a standard, if not completely comprehensive, recap (READ: G-cap) of last nights 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

I'll leave the red carpet breakdown to the 'E' Channel and the rest of the self-absorbed celebrity coverage to some other website. Y.O.U. know the drill: A galaxy of stars converged on The Staples Center in LA. People won. People lost. A good time was had by all. Holla @ ya boy in BK!

The Clipse's "Till The Casket Drops" Gets L.O.V.E. On ABC World News Now AKA Not All Looks Are Created Equal ... Suckaaaaaaaaaas!

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Yes, of course, your standard Hip Hop press circuit is an essential part of any well balanced rap ready media blitz, but, securing a look on ABC World News Now is some other shit (so what if the show only airs @ like 3AM EST? LOL.) ... especially if your name isn't 50 Cent, Eminem or Jay-Z. Salute to The Clipse. Niiiiiiiiiiice.

BET Hip Hop Awards 2009 Cyphers x A Special Message To Nicki Minaj From Aisha.

Uno.

Dos.

Tres.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Have I ever fully disclosed to Y.O.U. my complete disinterest with regard to any and all things BET? No? Really? Well, now, I just have ... lol.

In any event, the BET Hip Hop Awards 2009 were broadcast last night in all of their shamefully-low-production-budget glory. With the exception of a few great performances, the real saving grace (as it has been in previous years) were the MC cyphers.

Eminem bodied it and Wale continued his relentless career suicide mission further deflating his undeserved hype - no surprises here - so, the real story (@ least according to my little sister Aisha) was Nicki Minaj showing and proving that she is not just another passé pussy-shot provocateur and that deep down, beyond the make-up and the butt pads, she might actually truly be an articulate Femme C. That having been said, I'll let my little sis get a few things off of her chest.

The 1st Lady Of LiveStyle Says: Dear Nicki: I missed the cypher last night because I was out being a LiveStyle Lady, but after watching this brief 3 minute freestyle with Joey, I almost fuxks with Y.O.U! Key word: ALMOST! LOL! I feel as if I may be the only Lady in New York City not trying to be Barbie. Hey! To each his own. ;c )

NEW MUSIC: Drake Ft. Kanye West, Lil Wayne x Eminem - Forever (Produced By Boy-1da)(Dirty)(NO DJ)(The 1st Single Off Of The "More Than A Game" OST)

Streaming Audio/Download Link: Drake Ft. Kanye West, Lil Wayne x Eminem - Forever (Produced By Boy-1da)(Dirty)(NO DJ)

Well, well well.. What do we have here? I figured it was only a matter of time til 'Ye officially co-signed Drizzy by hoppin' on a track with Mr. Wheelchair Jimmy himself! But Eminem? That's a shocker.  Now, who had the best verse on "Forever" is debatable, but, in my to always be respected and accepted opinion, I think all 4, Drake, 'Ye, Wayne & Em, killed on this beat! (For Y.O.U. BK boys, that translates to "bodied" in Chicagoan ... lol) Say what Y.O.U. want, I fux with it! End of story.

NEW MUSIC: Eminem Ft. Mariah Carey - The Warning (Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Diss)(Dirty)(NO DJ)

Streaming Audio/Download Link: Eminem Ft. Mariah Carey - The Warning (Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Diss)(Dirty)(NO DJ)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Woooooooooooooow! Ironically, today's date is July 30th or 7-30 which is exactly the N.ew Y.ork S.tate hospital code that is used to identify mentally insane patients and "insane" is exactly how Eminem attacked this scathing response to Mariah Carey and her barely relevant husband Nick Cannon.

Dammit man! Eminem detailed this diss track with "Takeover"-like accuracy and, the funny thing is, I'd bet dollars-to-donuts that the homie Marshall has got a sleeper cell worthy stockpile of venom tipped bullets on deck for this cougar/cub couple. LOL. Good shit!
