Remy Martin Louis XIII x Christophe Pillet = Limited Edition Official Crystal Tableware Collection.

"You can't stop progress. Nobody knows that better than French design hotshot Christophe Pillet who has worked with everyone from Shu Uemura to Lacoste, L'Oréal, and Cappellini, among others. Is there anything he can't do? That's precisely what we're wondering to ourselves after learning of his latest endeavor: an assortment of ultra-luxe objects created especially for the House of Rémy Martin and Louis XIII Cognac. Blending old school luxury with a 21st-century aesthetic, the contemporary design interpretation comprises everything from a display case and candleholder to a stainless steel tray and a pièce de résistance polished crystal bottle. Bottoms up, baby! "Louis XIII Cognac is often enjoyed in settings where the light is somewhat filtered, so I took this into consideration when I started designing the accessories," says the Paris-based graduate of the famed École des Décoratifs in Nice. We'll drink to that".

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Now, while consider myself to be somewhat of a cognac and whiskey connoisseur, I have never truly been able to understand paying $150 and better for a shot of Louis XIII @ a club or an upscale bar. Any time that I've ever dropped that much on a "shot" I've felt kind of "foolish" - word to Shawty Lo. LOL.

Sure, Louis XIII is the House of Remy Martin's crowning achievement and it's taste and texture is unmatched, but dammit man! What do Y.O.U. expect though? This top shelf luxury liquor in it's beautifully hand-blown crystal decanter can easily go for $2,000 a bottle @ retail. I can only imagine the mind-numbing/wallet-crushing price for this limited edition tableware collection by artist Christophe Pillet. Hey, if Y.O.U. can afford it; pour it.

BONUS:
Y.O.U. already know that the homie Jay-Z mentioned Louis XIII about 10 years ago, right? The appreciation for this brand extends far beyond rap though. A Quick Word To The Wise: Never corrupt the constitution of a great cognac (or any quality liquor for that matter) with ice cubes or soda. If Y.O.U. wanna get on it like that, just cop yourself a personal of Henny and get busy ... lol. Get ya mind right!
