Chris Live AKA Shaker - Hi Hipster! (The Movie)

What we have here is a light slideshow video masterfully edited by my homie Deka - the chief-visual-director-for-Livestyle-and-all-associated-projects-and-whatnot ... lol. To the delight of some, but to the chagrin of many more, I must say that the video for "Hi Hipster" has already managed to ruffle a few bird nigga's feathers ... lol. My attitude is so Brooklyn.

If Y.O.U. are @ all offended by this video - GOOD - Y.O.U. should be ... Y.O.U. probably see a little bit of yourself in it. For all others who are not offended by this presentation, but, rather, are offended by the cookie cutter trendoid novelties that have recently found a cozy spot in Hip Hop thanks to all-inclusive apologists and cornballs alike, then this video is for Y.O.U.! Below is a brief summary of the rationale that served as the "catalyst" (Shout out to China) for this song. Enjoy!

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Some shit just aint cool, so I had to speak on it. "Hi Hipster" is not intended to completely dismiss Hip Hop's latest trend, but is rather meant to provide a perspective on how many of us who live life ahead of the curve feel with regard to it.

Co-opting whatever limited 1 dimensional aspect that you think the 80's and early 90's Hip Hop scene was about and dressing like a cliche' "Hipster" douchebag is no better than parading around looking like a wannabe "Thug". You're both wearing unoriginal uniforms and, therefore, are both wack. On this side, it's all about quality control my nigga. Listen to "Hi Hipster" (which flips the Jimmy Spicer classic "Dollar Bill Yall"/Maino "Hi Hater") and love it! Holla @ ya boy in BK!
