"Mercedes have launched the latest iteration of their Mercedes McLaren SLR called the SLR Roadster 722 S. The Mercedes McLaren SLR Roadster 722 S is based on the SLR Roadster but features numerous performance improvements. The performance has been improved by lowering the suspension ten millimeters and recalibrating the spring and damper rates the engine has also been retuned to boost output to six hundred and fifty horsepower giving it a top speed of over three hundred and fifty kilometers an hour. The car is named the 722 after the Mercedes Benz 300 SLR driven by Stirling Moss and Dennis Jenkinson which won the 1955 Mille Miglia race. Only one 150 will be made with deliveries commencing next year."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Mercedes has quietly built their SLR series into 1 of the most sought after and popular toys amongst top car enthusiasts today. This 722 edition should be no different - it features all of the splendid dimensions and power (a supercharged 5.5-litre V8 engine which is hand-built in the Mercedes-AMG engine shop in Affalterbach that produces an output of 478 kW/650 hp, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h) that collectors have come to expect from Mercedes and Mclaren collaborations. They're only dropping 150 of these bad boys (I know, I talk about this v like it's just a limited sneaker release, right? LOL.), so we'll see who's 1st to put 1 of these cars on the road. On the real, I wouldn't be surprised to see Swizz Beatz or the homie Pharrell bust out with the 722 SLR early or, at least, mention it in 1 of their next songs ... lol.
