Taking direct inspiration from the period ruled by The Hanoverians, England’s ruling family from 1714 to 1837 (which, anecdotally, saw 4 kings named George during their rule), 2 designers - Eddie Pendergast and Marco Cairns - joined creative forces and established The Duffer of St. George brand waaaaaaaaay back in 1984. Known for their attention to detail with a generous nod towards traditional Anglo-Saxon style, they consistently present collections that update classic looks while employing higher quality materials and contemporary design forms.
Similar to retail giant Beams, Duffer recently created it's own down feather filled vest based on the classic "Christy" down vest by Wyoming’s Rocky Mountain Featherbed Company. The luxurious details of this vest are sublime, but they are right on time. Leather outside collar and upper shoulder area - check. Shearling inside of said collar - check. Additionally, a slimmer silhouette was introduced as well to reduce loss of body heat.

(NOTE: I can lead a horse to water, but I cannot translate the page for him ... lol. You're on your own with that homie.)
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Yeah, in NYC, it's about that time. Yesterday was the official last day of Summer 2008 although the average temperature has been gradually declining for weeks. Anyway, I L.O.V.E. down vests. My theory is this: The more that I can look like an urban lumberjack OR a Black x Puerto Rican version of the guy on the Brawny© paper towel packaging the better! LOL. I've been meaning to fuck with a few things from Duffer for a minute and this vest might just be my 1st purchase with them. Good shit.
