The Brand New European e-Lanvin Store = Log On And Access The Excess.

"After its recent store openings in Los Angeles, Milan and Beijing, Lanvin has launched its new European e-Lanvin store.

Lanvin’s dynamic style, the spirit of Alber Elbaz, and the creative wealth of its collections are showcased in this new e-store.

Indeed, Lanvin delights in so many ways. As a first stop, visitors should enter the ♥ Hot Picks section to discover the must-haves from each collection.

A selection of seasonally appropriate flagship items: bags, shoes and jewellery, all presented at the click of a button.

Women in the know will then turn to the timeless summer silhouettes: here, a shoulder-draped satin dress, there a flower-embellished top.

With a bag from our Happy range, a favourite with Lanvin’s celebrity customers, and a pair of ballerina flats, Lanvin women will always turn heads. Another click, and the sheer beauty of the selected item can be viewed close-up in full-screen format.

Further browsing will take visitors to the Blanche collection, Alber Elbaz’s answer to every bride’s dreams.

Dresses created using beautiful fabrics (silk, washed faille, silk tulle, taffeta, lace and chiffon) reveal their splendour on immaculately white mannequins.

Lanvin Men will also find that nothing has been overlooked: ready-to-wear, bags, shoes.

Lanvin’s sneakers, a Holy Grail among high-top training shoes, are given pride of place among the many accessories of Lucas Ossendrijver’s collection.

These leading products, now available to internet shoppers, subtly blend classic and contemporary styles to complement both suits and casual wear.

Let no visitor leave without first browsing the gifts offered by a firm that is always looking for something to celebrate…

Lanvin’s e-store showcases a limited edition selection of the famous porcelain dolls inspired by its collections.

Not to mention the playing cards decorated with Alber Elbaz’s sketches, Miss Lanvin key chains and elegant music boxes.

Lastly, Lanvin has an exclusive range just for its e-shopping aficionados, like the four limited edition accessories embroidered with an emblematic red heart, ideal for women in love.

This online revolution, with its delicate touch of humour, epitomises the characteristic innovative, dynamic and contemporary style of France’s longest-standing fashion house.

Lanvin is now able to offer its European customers a unique new experience in an intimate and welcoming environment that replicates the ambience of its famous boutiques."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Lest haute couture neophytes forget, Lanvin is decidedly NOT in the business of shilling threads to the proletarian class. The H&M collaboration was a benevolent act of charity ... lol.

No, since it's beginnings the house that skillful mom turned high fashion couturière, Jeanne Lanvin, built has been all about supplying over the top elegance to only the most well heeled of customers.

Today, chubby design virtuoso Alber Elbaz brings that legendary tradition of decadence to the internet with the launch of the brand new European e-Lanvin Store. Yes! Now I can purchase $300 t-shirts from the privacy of my own home. Ch-ch-check it out!

Live From The Pierre Hotel In NYC: The Lanvin For H&M Haute Couture Show November 2010 (Full Show/Edited).

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Yes! Me and my lady braved the frenzied crowds of fashionistas that stormed the corner of 34th Street and 7th Avenue in Manhattan to take part in this season's official Tour de Fancy AKA the release of the highly anticipated Lanvin for H&M Collection.

So, yeah, I copped a good pair of hard bottom shoes for myself, however, the true main event was the womenswear offerings and, I am proud to say that my girl went HAM! (NOTE: Ironic because she refrains from dining on the oh so divine swine ... lol) Pictures soon come. In the meantime, press play on the above video and enjoy a glimpse of this season's undisputed downmarket runway runaway hit! Cheers!

GROW UP: Lanvin Unveils Their Lanvin For H&M Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Menswear Collection = This Is For The Don In Y.O.U.

"Images and looks from the ”one-time” Lanvin for H&M collection have just dropped online. GQ U.K. looks to have jumped GQ U.S. on this one. Lucas Ossendrijver Lanvin’s head of menswear design, speaking from his Paris studio. gives a strong response: “I’m so happy we’re not about the logo, but the special nature of the piece[s].” The 40 piece collection ranges from $24 to $240 for a suit – well under the Lanvin usual. Expect this collection to blowout instantly."

Information Courtesy Of: Selectism.Com

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: As yet another season of Autumn chill fills the air so to does the electric energy of fashion come anew as this Fall's offerings hit retail @ full force. I, for one, can hardly believe that it has been 2 months since 1st apprising Y.O.U. of the long awaited Lanvin for H&M collaborative effort. Where did the time go? No matter, as promised, the lords of luxury @ the oldest French fashion house in operation, Lanvin, have seen it fit to finally unveil the menswear arm of this cost cutter coveted collection.

Scheduled to go on sale November 20th in Canada and the US and November 23rd across the globe, the Lanvin for H&M Fall/Winter 2010/2011 range appears intent on making a point of drastically lowering this Parisian powerhouse labels' price point without sacrificing 1 iota of their legendarily refined aesthetic.

Although created by Lanvin head of menswear design Lucas Ossendrijver, this range looks positively Alber Elbaz inspired - from the ambrosial bow-ties to the magnificently tailored 3-piece suits! Very nice.

Furthermore, to add flattery to favor (READ: The opposite of adding, "insult to injury". Work with me people! LOL), this 40 piece collection of cool starts @ $24 for t-shirts and accessories and tops out @ an incredibly gracious $240 for a full on suit! What!? Porta Bella can barely beat those prices ... and their suits suck ... lol. Y.O.U. know your mission come November 20, 2010. Fix up and look sharp!

BONUS:

This is the brand new artsy-fartsy Lanvin for H&M mini-movie starring model Natasha Poly and a host of other malnourished femme fatales ... lol. The ladies collection is looking kinda heavy ma. My Livestyle Ladies need to make room in your budget for a few of these pieces. Stop playing.

The Lanvin For H&M Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Collection = It's About To Be Discount Frequent Fashion Flyer Mileage Time Out This Bitch!

"H&M has just confirmed that its next designer collaboration will be with Lanvin! The collection for both men and women will be designed by Lanvin’s artistic director Alber Elbaz, and menswear designer Lucas Ossendrijver, and is slated to go on sale on November 23 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide.

“H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin to a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public. This has been an exceptional exercise, where two companies at opposite poles can work together because we share the same philosophy of bringing joy and beauty to men and women around the world.” Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin.

“We are thrilled about Lanvin’s collection for H&M, it is such an exciting moment. Lanvin will bring to H&M a luxurious French tradition that is also modern and playful. It is very much a Lanvin collection, using their cut and tailoring, with lots of focus on form and details for both women and men. The launch in November is going to be full of wonderful surprises.” Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

On November 2, the collection will be revealed to the world, just three weeks before the clothes hit the store, and I’m sure it will be one of the most anticipated event[s] of the year!"

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: As the notoriously adamantly anti-trend C.hief E.xecutive O.fficer and custodian of the Livestyle brand, one might be surprised that there are, however, a handful of fads that I actually do adore. Case In Point: Mass fashion (NOTE: Of course with the caveat that the "mass fashion" in question is 1) a limited edition run and 2) a typically astronomically priced label descending to Earth like Manna from the Heavens to feed cash flow constrained yet "in the know" style starved mere mortals ... lol). That having been well established, the just announced Lanvin For H&M Fall/Winter 2010/2011 Collection already seems poised to fulfill my Autumn fashion wishes!

Sans any pictures of the Alber Elbaz (NOTE: He's got the womenswear) and Lucas Ossendrijver (NOTE: He's got the menswear) designed collection though, I can only wax but so poetically @ this time lest my vivid imagination get too carried away and the homie start to lying ... lol.

Nevertheless, based upon Lanvin's legendarily exquisite detailing and innovative silhouettes and H&M's prior upscale-designer-@-considerably-downscale-prices collaboration successes (NOTE: Such as the Karl Lagerfeld and Sonia Rykiel campaigns), what can be said with near certainty is that once revealed on November 2, 2010, the full Lanvin ensemble should have more than a few good looks for retail. Don't expect them to all be winners though ... this is Lanvin for H.ennes & M.oritz (NOTE: Pronounced "Hennys" Y.O.U. suckaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas! Now, go and blow your friends mind with that useless factoid ... lol).

Word To The Wise: Y.O.U. already know, when this shit drops, don't even do the line wrapped around the block thing on Broadway or wherever your city's main H&M store is located. Be a smart shopping hunter-gatherer. Go rape the racks in the suburbs! Stay tuned!

Helloooooo Ladies: The Limited Edition Jimmy Choo Sneaker Launch Pre-Fall 2010 Collection = Chooly Yours.

Information Courtesy Of: ElleUK.Com

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Leave it to the London based, Malaysian master of high flying stilettos to lose the heel and still manage to raise the shoe making bar. In addition to his standard 10cm arching monuments to good female form, Jimmy Choo slipped 8 pairs pairs of sneakers into his Pre-Fall 2010 collection.

Attempting to do the "Okey Pokey" with such lace up luminaries as Pierre Hardy and Lanvin, means that Jimmy Choo has spared no expense to fix these kicks in exotic skins accompanied by decadent details like gold star-shaped shoestring eyelets and star-print sole.

Hopefully Y.O.U. share the same "money is no object" attitude as Jimmy Choo and his partner-in-crime, the stunning Tamara Mellon because these dandies will give Y.O.U. a mini-marathon run for your money. Scheduled to hit Jimmy Choo stores and select retailers worldwide this May, these sleek sneaks should start somewhere around $473 and high-top out @ a respectable $633 for the hi-top looks. Message To All Non-Livestyle Ladies: *Cue Grand Puba Voice* "Step to the rear".

BONUS:

My affinity for recondite pop-culture references reveals itself @ the most curious of times. I often start a post about 1 seemingly completely unassociated topic and, out of nowhere, somewhere long the line, a tapestry of words is woven together that is full of both wonderful randomness and some truly powerful gems. Case In Point: My allusion in the main body of this post to Grand Puba Maxwell's oft overlooked solo classic, "Step To The Rear".

As a founding member of the "Masters Of Ceremony" Grand Puba has a rich Hip Hop lineage that predates his time running with the N.ow R.ule (NOTE: N.ow R.ule is the 5% Supreme Alphabet abbreviation for New Rochelle, New York. Yeah, I know ... I owe Y.O.U. @ least a brief introduction to the language of Universal Mathematics) Mob, but the homie truly came into his own with Brand Nubian's debut album "One For All" and this tune did the trick!

Grand Puba has always exhibited a great talent for Reggae tinged, slightly melodic flows coupled with witty and intelligent lyricism and "Step To The Rear" covers all bases. Even today, most rappers can't fuck with barbwire sharp bars like, "If Pu ain't the answer, then you must be sick as cancer/Smooth romancer, let it ring, I'll probably answer/So come take a dip with your "private dancer"/Nasty, naughty/Over 6' call me shorty/But I'm looooong...I'm like Stretch Armstrong/I go/On and on and on and on". This is 1 of my all-time favorite songs ever! True story. Yeah, so don't talk to me about all these new rappers until Y.O.U. do the knowledge to some true rappers! Holla @ ya boy in BK!

Yes, The Lanvin Black/Blue Beaded High Top Trainers Might Leave Your Pockets Black x Blue, But, Dammit They Look Good!

"We have seen it already this season in green and in red, here it comes now in a black/blue colorway and we can clearly say, it’s our favorite Lanvin High Top Trainer with beads so far. The black and shiny blue work well together and the black beads certainly give it a special touch. These are now available at Browns"

Available Online Here: Brownsfashion.Com

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Listen, we've been down this rich leather paved road before, however, this pricey path has now been reinvisioned and decorated with black beads - and I like it! GOD bless Alber Elbaz and the high council of couture @ The House of Lanvin for unleashing the creative majesty that is Lucas Ossendrijver and allowing him to transform their men's ready-to-wear line into ready rock. LOL.

Yes, I am given to hyperbolic fits of fancy words, but, c'mon homie, the latest Lanvin Beaded Black/Blue High Top Trainer kicks are official tissue my nig. Typical of Lanvin's current collections, these sneakers are a cocktail of cool that is 2 parts reductionism, 1 part decorative luxury, shaken (not stirred), poured into a forget-me-not colored signature box and topped off with a sprig of mint or, in this case, an approximately $1,100 price tag ... lol. Cheers!

Deal With It: Lanvin 1-Day Sample Sale Hits NYC Nextweek!

"Next Wednesday, March 18, from 10 a.m to 5 p.m, over 400 pieces from the storied French house will go on massive sale—we're talking 70% off or more. That means dresses starting at $325 (versus $1,500) and coats starting at $560 (versus $4,000). We can't remember the last time Lanvin had a sample sale, which means we've just hit shopping nirvana. It's guaranteed to be a madhouse scene, though, considering the sale's only for one day, but we're planning on camping out with our most fashionable sleeping bags." In all their excitement, they forget to mention the address: It is 230 Fifth Avenue. [Pipeline]"

Information Courtesy Of: Racked.Com

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Of all of the majestic stories surrounding this French fashion powerhouse, 1 story that is seldom told is any tale about them having a sample sale - Lanvin doesn't do sales! LOL. In the hierarchy of the haute couture world the Lanvin brand sits on a distinguished dais alongside such legendary firms as Louis Vuitton and Chanel; so, yeah, next week's 1-day sample sale (March 18, from 10AM to 5PM) is, in the words of "Anchorman" Ron Burgundy, "kind of a big deal" ... lol.

Now, while the article that serves as my source for this entry mentions NOTHING of clothing for men, I have got to get my Obama "hope" on that they'll have some Lanvin t-shirts and kicks on hand for the fellas. I might just have to roll up in there and seduce a few 100LB runway models with my fresh-off-of-the-corner charisma meets official-Livestyle-strategist knowledge of fine garments ... lol What's good?

GROW UP: Lanvin Calf x Suede Richelieu Shoes = Brave Soles.

"Mr. Ossendrijver continues to keep the Lanvin line fresh with this pair of calf and suede toe cap shoes for Spring/Summer 2009. The brown outsole and heel against the black upper just bring the scent of a cigar bar. Simple and elegant for the springtime. Available now from Colette FR."

Available Online Here: Colette.Fr

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Sadly, after Jay-Z shamed the masses out of their oversized throwback sports jerseys (NOTE: There is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing sports jerseys, but, we all remember the great Mitchell & Ness holocaust spanning several years, 2002-2005, and all of the good memorabilia that was raped, pillaged and laid to waste) and into button-up shirts and blazers, a disproportionate amount of men failed to seize the opportunity that had been afforded them. Rather than explore the new gentlemanly world of semi-formal attire that Shawn Carter inspired most allowed their wardrobe to remain transparently 1 dimensional and, once the clubs began to relax their dresscodes again, hurried right back to the unambitious comfort of their beyond baggy jeans and $5 white t-shirts.

Now, please do not interpret my admonition of some people and their bullshit as a rally against keeping it casual - Y.O.U. see the kicks, fitteds and hoodies that I post here - however, there is a time and a place for everything my nigga. Look, simply put, a man over the age of 25 years old who is deathly afraid of investing in hardbottom shoes for his wardrobe is a man who clearly has alot of growing up to do. For the rest of us, Lucas Ossendrijver and the minds responsible for the fresh design direction over @ the House of Lanvin have just dropped this pair of Calf and Suede Richelieu Shoes for Spring/Summer 2009.

I already know that these dandies might be intimidating to some, but, before Y.O.U. quit and go running back to your default I've-gotta-dress-up-but-refuse-to-do-so America's Cup Prada kicks, let me help Y.O.U. out homie. Named after the famous cardinal de Richelieu (Prime Minister of France under Louis XIII) the Richelieu style of shoe (looking much like the classic wingtip) does not require the wearer to go out and rent a tux ... lol. Really, all Y.O.U. need is a good pair of jeans (in your actual size), a belt (without an oversized buckle smeared in corny ass rhinestones), a sweater or shirt (button-up or, believe it or not, even a t-shirt - as long as it is in your actual size) and these Lanvin rug cutters and you're good money! Trust me, I'll show Y.O.U. how to do this son. This is Livestyle.

Lanvin Hi-Tops Fall 2008. Get You Some Luxury Kicks Homie!

Lanvin ( the oldest single fashion house still in operation) has been around since the early 1900's. At it's inception, founder Jeanne Lanvin envisioned a high end boutique label, but, after enjoying great popularity followed by decades spent off of the radar, it's this brand's "Ready To Wear" collections that have been tugging @ the hearts and wallets of those in the know now! I fuck with the higher than high hi-tops (except for the intergalactic looking gold joints); the suede, leather & patent leather combo works my nig. You won't find these on Canal Street sucker!
