Helloooooo Ladies: The Limited Edition Van Cleef & Arpels "Le Pont Des Amoureux" Ladies Watch = Poetry In Motion.

"Love is in the air at Van Cleef & Arpels, but then again it never really left. Van Cleef & Arpels only exists because Alfred Van Cleef fell head over heels in love with Estelle Arpels. So it makes perfect sense that love should be a theme that the company holds dear. So for all you incurable romantics out there, here is a timepiece to fall in love with."

"The Van Cleef & Arpels Le Pont des Amoureux watch which translates as the "lover's bridge" is designed and assembled by Van Cleef & Arpels in their Paris atelier with a movement built in Jaeger LeCoultre’s workshops. The watch features a unique movement centered upon the design of the dial. The dial depicts a bridge with the silhouette of a woman and a man walking across it, the silhouette of the woman represents the hour whilst the silhouette of the man represents the minutes. Twice a day they will meet in the middle of the Bridge. The case is made of white gold and set with diamonds with an enamel dial and white alligator strap."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Sadly, the infection that is "mass fashion" has taken on pandemic proportions, affecting not only clothing, but, also, timepieces as well. With the advent of new watch companies (NOTE: Most notably starting in 1997 with the wildly-popular-turned-wildly-corny Technomarine® watch) promising "old world" integrity @ relatively low-tariff costs, for the uninitiated, the art of horology has largely been reduced to low-on-complications-high-on-bling-wattage monstrosities for public consumption. Prestige brands have dedicated decades (and in some cases even centuries) to carefully cultivating a discerning consumer loyalty where it is understood that an expectation of high quality will come @ a high premium ... there's just some shit that Y.O.U. should NOT "bargain hunt" for ... lol. Diamonds can be a wonderful additional instrument in the opulent orchestra of fine watches, however, everything and I mean EVERYTHING must be in tune and not simply an "iced" over cover-band mimicking elegance. To that end, I present to Y.O.U. the incredible Van Cleef & Arpels "Le Pont des Amoureux" Ladies Watch.

Much as the beautifully white gold sculpted lovers march across the dial marking time to meet and kiss briefly once every 12 hours, the "Le Pont des Amoureux" (Translation: "Lover's Bridge") is a marriage of gallery-worthy artistic intelligence meets innovation. The storied Van Cleef & Arpels firm, is 1 of those rare houses whose polyamorous L.O.V.E. for all things luxury has blithely escorted them into the worlds of watchmaking, fine jewelry and perfume without wavering in the craftsmanship department.

Yes, the pioneers of the stunning "Mystery Setting" technique (A meticulous procedure where precious stones are set using no visible "claws") have once again succeeded in decorating a magnificent watch without defaming its character. This limited edition, numbered masterpiece features a nicely sized 38mm case in white gold bezeled with round diamonds, a back-lit "Contre Jour" enamel dial upon which the romatic white gold "Lover's Bridge" scene is set, Jaeger LeCoultre Swiss movements and a white alligator strap.

Message To My Livestyle Ladies: This is most definitely NOT your homegirl's Coach watch ... lol. Hey, Y.O.U. don't have to be ready to cop a ticket and board the plane today ... just learn the flight schedule ma. Holla @ ya boy in BK!
