CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Awwwwwwwwwwww! Kanye West DOES still L.O.V.E. us! LOL.

After throwing a minor temper tantrum earlier this week over the unscrupulous blogger(s) responsible for leaking some of his unfinished music, Mr. West, Mr. West put the entire internet on "time out" and revoked our "G.O.O.D. Friday" privileges for the duration of 1 week. Apparently, we had all become too spoiled by this brilliant beatmakers benevolence and needed to be taught the egregious error of our ways. The great Martin Louis The King Jr. shall not be mocked! Hopefully we've all learned from this near tragedy. LOL! Alright, all jokes aside though, I am grateful that the homie Kanye West reconsidered and lifted the ban this afternoon to release "Christian Dior Denim Flow".

As usual, Yeezy keeps hitting us with that G.O.O.D. old posse cut combo - featuring some artists that I really L.O.V.E. to hear and others that I ... well ... ummmmmmm ... don't wanna hear so much of ... lol.

The biggest surprise here is Lloyd "Laryngitis Fo' Life" Banks appearing on this haute couture track. The biggest disappointment is whatever the fuck Kid Cudi vomits @ the end of this track. It is what it is. Enjoy!

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: It is no secret that Kanye West and I have had our issues in the past - most notably my intense disgust for that ridiculous "shag" human raccoon cap haircut that he was sporting awhile back and his so-stupid-that-it-has-to-be-regarded-as-comedy claim that "Ralph Lauren was boring" before he wore him - however, overall, I have enormous respect for his creative talents and his dedication to being different. His vision goes well beyond simply making G.O.O.D. music though. He knows how to connect with his audience. Take for instance, his latest gorilla marketing campaign for his forthcoming album "Good Ass Job".

No doubt taking a page from the current high end fashion playbook, Kanye West has been popping up with "secret" shows across the country. Last night he hit NYC.

Impeccably decked out in tailored suit and tie "Martin Louis The King Jr." (NOTE: Sharing the surprise show bill greasy faced R&B troubadour John Legend) took to the stage @ New York City's burlesque theater inspired The Box - a place where "bottle service" still lives ... lol - to run through a string of hits, introduce a new song entitled "Mama's Boyfriends", shout out a few friends and even bless the captivated crowd with a little freestyle just for good measure.

Now, why wasn't I in attendance? Good question. Well, I've always been more "in the streets" than industry ... the kid's gotta eat my nigga. Be that as it may, I know that I need to get back in the loop with this music shit. *Cue Tupac Shakur "Me And My Girlfriend" Voice* "Look for me!" Holla @ ya boy in BK!

NEW MUSIC: Rick Ross Ft. Jay-Z & John Legend - Free Mason (Produced By The Inkredibles)(CDQ)(Dirty)(NO DJ)

Streaming Audio/Download Link: Rick Ross Ft. Jay-Z & John Legend - Free Mason (Produced By The Inkredibles)(CDQ)(Dirty)(NO DJ)

"Jay-Z Slams Spirituality Accusations On Rick Ross' 'Free Mason'
'I said I was amazing/ Not that I'm a Mason,' Jay raps on Ross' upcoming Teflon Don LP.

Jay-Z takes aim at all those who have questioned his spirituality on the new Rick Ross song "Free Mason". At the top of the year, while on New York radio, Jay dismissed rumors that he was a member of the illuminati, worshiped the devil and had Satanic images in the video for "On to the Next One".

"I got a lot of money," Hov told Power 105.1 radio host Ed Lover on January 13. "When people get a lot of money, they start getting those rumors, like Tom Cruise, Willie Smith. That's ridiculous."

On "Free Mason," which is a play off the rumors that Jay is a Freemason, Hov shoots back.

"N---as couldn't do nothing with me, they put the devil on me," Jay raps. "I would have preferred n---as squeeze the metal on me/ Rumors of Lucifer, I don't know who to trust/ The whole world wants my demise, turn the music up.

"If y'all n---as fear me, just say y'all fear me," he adds. "F--- all these fairy tales/ Go to hell, this is God engineering/ ... I said I
was amazing/ Not that I'm a Mason .../ I'm on my third six, but a devil I'm not. ..."

John Legend, who appeared on Ross' last LP, Deeper Than Rap, via "Magnificent," is also on the track. He harmonizes on the song and sings toward the end.

"Never let it be said I didn't win," he sings. "Never say Legend didn't go in/ I just want to die on the top of the world/ Making love to my favorite girl."

But Ricky Rozay bats leadoff on his record. He starts off saying he'll die before being viewed as punk.

"All-white mansion, I'm the child of God/ All black diamonds, times were hard/ New Rolls-Royce, guess you made it n---a/ All-white neighborhood, you their favorite n---a/ My top back like JFK/ They wanna push my top back like JFK."

"I was a roadie on the Blueprint 3 tour for a few dates," Ross said in May of how the song came about. "It started off in St. Louis. I was just messing with everybody, kicking it with everybody, letting Jay hear my ideas and concepts. When you get the deluxe version of this album, we documented when I played the record. I played the track and my first verse," Ross recalled. "I put in the PS3 behind the stage.

"Played it, [Jay] listened to it," he continued. "We played it, backed it up, played it again. Played it, backed it up, played it again. Backed it up, and he spit his verse. It's gonna be magic for people to see Jay do his 'Rain [Man]' when he's rubbing his head, like he pulling his rhymes outta his mind. Just to see somebody come up with a verse that potent in less than two or three minutes ... 'cause it was just a snippet. The beat may have played for a minute and a half and started over," a process Ross says was repeated a few times as Jay composed. "He had his 16, an idea for the chorus. Trey Songz, all of us standing around in awe."

Ross' Teflon Don arrives on July 20.

BONUS:
As is standard here @ Livestyle, when either I or, in this case, the topic of my post, reference something that is trivia worthy and integral in allowing Y.O.U. to achieve full appreciation of said entry, I have made it my sworn duty to put Y.O.U. on. Yes, of course, Y.O.U. are all very welcome ... lol.

Anyway, in case Y.O.U. didn't know, everybody's favorite C.O. turned kilo slingin' kingpin, Rick Ross, pays Hip Hop homage @ the start of each verse in this song to Flatbush Brooklyn's very own and Erasmus Hall High School alumnist, Special Ed, and his 1989 classic "I'm The Magnificent". Rick Ross obviously knows his Golden Age New York City Hip Hop and so should Y.O.U. my nig. Good shit.
