Nas - Nasty (Directed By Goldwatch)(Official Music Video)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: This Goldwatch directed video for "Nasty" is so good that as Nas cruises through the city streets - him awash in every bit of jewelry that he has left to his name post Kelis divorce and the nightscape awash in neon lights that flutter amongst the sea of nameless faces and shameless actions that is New York City - flanked by 2 models looking as cozy as a Snuggie® in the backseat of his Rolls-Royce Phantom, that one can EASILY look past Nasir's #SWAG deficient choice of attire ... namely the butterfly collar lounge singer button-up. SMH. All sins are forgiven though when Nas gives dap to legendary 1980's Queens drug baron Tommy "Montana" Mickens after dropping his name in the song. Nope. It doesn't get much realer than that folks. Good shit!

Lil Wayne Is A Free Man!!!!

"In the early hours of Thursday morning, there was word floating around that Lil Wayne would have to wait an additional day to be released due to “miscalculated” time. Turns out out that was just a rumor because at approximately 8:35 a.m., the Young Money head honco became a free man for the first time in eight months.

Always with a camera, Scoob Doo managed to snap one of the first pictures of Weezy out of the bing. Expect to see this on the Nino Brown DVD.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: According to reports swirling around the dust bowl that is the internet on this particularly slow (NOTE: With regard to the kind of pop culture stories that I regularly cover here) news day, it appears that Dwayne "Lil Wayne" Carter was indeed released from New York City's Rikers Island correctional facility @ approximately 8:35AM this morning after serving 8 months for gun possession.

Save the above picture snapped by the camera of DJ Scoob "Given This Momentous Occasion I Should Have Immediately Uploaded A Better Picture, But This Will Have To Do" Doo, and it seems like the Young Money C.E.O. was just ready to breathe some fresh air and be on his merry way! No fuss. No muss. I respect that. I mean, I will be the 1st to admit that I pretty much expected his step-dad, one Bryan "Baby" Williams, would be waiting for him @ the gate holding a Pillow Pets™ sitting atop a new Rolls Royce Phantom with "Just Released From Prison" painted across the back window in white shoe polish and empty soup cans tied with silky ribbons to the new car's back bumper ... lol. All jokes aside though, jail is no place for a human being to be (NOTE: Except for rapists and child molesters because, well, they're not human).

Message To Weezy: Welcome back to the world homie. Stay free.

The Rolls-Royce White Ghost Limited By Mansory = This Is A Mansory Man's World!

"The last time Mansory showed us one of its Rolls-Royce Ghost creations, it was OMG! drenched ihe last time Mansory showed us one of its Rolls-Royce Ghost creations, it was OMG! drenched in blue and gold. But if you took that same car and re-hued it in white, well, all of a sudden we could be on to something. The White Ghost Limited is a three-of-a-kind special that adds a mild body kit and rear spoiler, LED running lights up front and on the mirrors, and a new dual exhaust out back.

The inside is a little more intense, but put into Mansory context next to the Bentley Vitesse Rose and Panamera Turbo, it's as subtle as an English butler. Thankfully, things are upgraded under the hood, with a 66-horsepower jump to 629 ponies and a boost of 60 pound-feet to 634. That means a 4.5-second run from zero to 62 miles per hour and a higher top speed of 180 mph. It'll run you €119,800 ($152,407 U.S.) on top of the price of the standard Ghost ..."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: In Livestyle I have created a center for free thinking individuals that celebrates the art of "Solitary Refinement" (NOTE: The name of my sleeping giant of a clothing company that I started in 2003) - that is the unabashed encouragement that one embrace and actively cultivate their more unique self-indulgent side.

To that end, although the German based aftermarket luxury automobile tuning company Mansory has been vilified by purists as a Dr. Frankenstein like mangler of fine cars, I can appreciate some of their ambitious modifications. The Rolls-Royce White Ghost Limited By Mansory is 1 such stellar creation.

This 3-of-3 gift to the wealthy and edgy fans of Rolls-Royce is more about visual enhancements than actual performance upgrades (NOTE: Under the hood the engine did receive a 66-horsepower boost from the V12 engine for 629 HP overall.) The body kit features fender vents, a spoiler and side skirts all with a blinding pearl white paint job. This is NOT for the faint of heart ... so, don't mention this whip to Dick Cheney ... lol.

If you've got an extra $152,000 to drop for this mod bod on top of the $250,000 Rolls-Royce Ghost base price, go for yours! A "limited" run on anything usually means unlimited fun and stuntin' opportunities ... lol. It is what it is. Holla @ ya boy in BK!

The 1 Million-Euro Bugatti 16C Galibier = A Luxury Car Coupe D'etat.

"The Bugatti 16C Galibier was supposed to be one of three concept cars which the most exclusive of automakers was set to unveil as a potential replacement for the legendary Veyron supercar, now nearing the end of its production run. But reports now suggest that the Alsatian marque is preparing to put the four-door super-saloon into production.

With a de-tuned version of the Veyron's quad-turbo W16 engine producing "only" 800 horsepower instead of its predecessor's 1000, the production version of the Galibier could borrow its chassis from the new Bentley Mulsanne and carry a seven-figure price tag to match the Veyron's if and when it hits the market, which sources peg around 2013. Better start saving now."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: When craving the need for speed, truly discerning (and rich) automotive enthusiasts have long since abandoned their stuffy chauffeurs idling in their Rolls Royce Phantoms and Daimler-Chrysler Maybachs and gone it alone for the 1-of-a-kind Bugatti driving experience. Although founded by eccentric engineering genius Ettore Bugatti waaaaaaaay back in 1909, now, under the direction of the Volkswagen Group (Volkswagen AG), this formerly floundering brand has enjoyed new life and flourished as a leader in the super exclusive, über limited production sports car market. Most popular of their current models being the Bugatti Veyron (NOTE: Of which they even have an Hermès edition), the Bugatti firm has just pulled the wraps off of their latest 4-door concept supercar, the enchanting 1 Million-Euro fetching Bugatti 16C Galibier.

The silhouette of this hatchback - or fastback - coupe pays pronounced homage to 1 of the greatest Bugatti models ever assembled, the immortal Type 57 Atlantic, while the feel is reportedly much the same as the Veyron. Now, the Galibier is slightly slower than the sound barrier smashing Veyron, but, topping out @ around 217 MPH aint nothing to be ashamed of homie ... lol.

Named after a particularly difficult Alpine pass along the Tour de France, the Bugatti Galibier is a quad-turbo W16 8-liter engine revving carbon fiber finished vision from Heaven. The Moral Of The Story: Keep your head up AND get that bread up! This is Livestyle.

The 2011 Bentley Mulsanne = Move Over Maybach, It's Mulsanne Music Time!

"2011 Bentley Mulsanne unveiled
08/16/2009, 8:02 PM
By Nick Aziz

Bentley took the wraps off its new Mulsanne flagship ultra-luxury sedan, which replaces the aging Arnage and takes aim at the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Previously thought to be named ‘Grand,’ the Mulsanne is said to be inspired by the Bentley 8 Litre of the 1930s and it is set to arrive in showrooms next year as a 2011.

Displayed for the first time ever at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, the Mulsanne will be the centerpiece of Bentley’s showcase at the IAA Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Specific details like engines, new technologies, pricing, and features will likely be announced then.

“The challenge we set for our engineers was to create a new grand Bentley that would stand as the pinnacle of British luxury motoring, offering the world’s most exclusive driving experience,” said CEO Dr. Franz-Josef Paefgen.

“They have responded to this challenge with real passion and the result is a luxury grand tourer that sets new standards in terms of comfort, effortless performance and hand-crafted refinement – the very qualities for which Bentley is renowned.”

Design chief Dirk van Braeckel said the car represents the next evolution in Bentley’s design direction. “From the very first hand sketches in the styling studio, we were inspired by the traditions of the grand touring Bentleys and have sought to evolve this story for a new generation of Bentley enthusiasts.”

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Much as Daimler-Chrysler and Rolls-Royce resurrected both their historic Maybach and Phantom names respectively, the British purveyors of automotive aristocracy @ Bentley Motors are set to reintroduce their epic Mulsanne series to the luxury market.

Formally unveiled over the weekend @ the majestic annual convention of rare and collectible cars that is the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in California, the 2011 Bentley Mulsanne is a magnificent mobile monument to superior engineering and elegance. Originally produced by Bentley Motors Limited from 1980 until 1992, this direct precursor to their beloved Azure and Continental T models, shares a healthy heritage and provenance with other redesigned celebrated nameplates.

Effectively replacing the popular Bentley Arnage, the new Mulsanne - featuring a V-8 engine and the handcrafted excellence that we have come to expect from the Bentley brand - is a grand tourer for those with more than a few extra grand to drop on some wheels. Niiiiiiiice.

The 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost Looks Scary Good.

"Shanghai 2009: Rolls-Royce ditches RR4 for Ghost nameplate

by Damon Lavrinc on Apr 20th 2009 at 3:58AM

At the Shanghai Motor Show this morning, Rolls-Royce finally put the temporary RR4 moniker to rest by officially naming its new Flying Spur-fighting sedan the "Ghost". Shown in concept form as the 200EX at last month's Geneva Motor Show, the Ghost will be built later this year on a separate assembly line at the automaker's newly expanded Goodwood facility, where it will share paint, wood and leather with its flagship brother, the Phantom. The Ghost is built using 20% of the parts from the recent BMW 7 series platform and will be equipped with a 500+ hp, twin-turbocharged V12 mated to an eight-speed transmission. Expect sales to begin in late 2009, with coupe and convertible variants to follow in the next two to three years.

PRESS RELEASE

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has announced the name for its new model series which until now has been known as RR4. The name was announced by CEO, Tom Purves at a press conference held at the Shanghai motor show.

The new car will be called the Rolls-Royce Ghost and production will begin at the company's Goodwood manufacturing facility on the south coast of England later in 2009.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO, Tom Purves, said, "We are delighted to formally announce the Rolls-Royce Ghost. It is one of the most revered names in the automotive industry, evoking images of adventure and technical innovation. The name reflects this new model's breadth of abilities. The first cars to bear the Ghost name were known not only for impressive dependability and refinement but also great flair and style. This car will be the first in a new generation of models to carry this evocative name and will give us two pinnacle product lines – Phantom and Ghost.

The Rolls-Royce Ghost will be built on its own dedicated production line at Goodwood but will share paint, wood and leather workshops with the Phantom series of cars. Rolls-Royce has expanded all areas of its manufacturing facility over the last 18 months to prepare for the introduction of the Ghost model."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: In spite of what Y.O.U. may have been erroneously lead to believe by non-conformist (READ: Good) nouveau riche (READ: Not so good) rappers, exemplary feats of automobile aristocracy such as the Maybach and the Rolls-Royce Phantom were actually designed with the passenger in mind. Yes, these venerable vehicles possess both a power and a prestige that make them a joy to actually get behind the wheel of and drive, however, the real luxury in these whips lies just beyond the cockpit in the sumptuously carpeted cabins of these modern day chariots. Now, far be it from me to suggest that all Maybachs and/or Phantoms be chauffeur driven - that is not my intention. On the contrary, Livestyle is in the high end business of providing information, making distinctions and clearly delineating a measure of greatness to which we can all aspire. With that said, if Y.O.U. really want to tear the road up, the 2010 Rolls Royce Ghost is where it's @ my nigga.

This latest reincarnation of the classic Rolls-Royce Ghost (NOTE: The actual name "Silver Ghost" refers to both the original 1906 car model and to one specific car from that series which predates the introduction of the "Phantom" range by nearly 2 decades) model is based largely on the current BMW 7 Series platform, yet, still maintains the marquee's signature silhouette albeit in a much slimmer streamlined profile than that of the Phantom.

Featured previously here (Can Y.O.U. say "early"? LOL.) as the "RR4" concept, the word is that this "baby" Rolls will have a big boy V-12 cylinder 6.6 liter engine with upwards of 500 horsepower. Did I mention that this is Rolls-Royce's "entry-level" sedan, meaning that this is poised to be their "economy" car? LOL. Yeah, $300,000 aint too steep - relatively speaking of course ... lol. Hey, have I ever allowed price to determine to what spectacular heights I set my ambitious sights? Exactly, and neither should Y.O.U. my friend. This is Livestyle.

This Is How The Rich Keep It Moving.

"One company that doesn't seem to have felt the financial pinch yet is Rolls-Royce. The luxury car company delivered 129 vehicles in September, which is up 7.5% over last year bringing total deliveries since the start of the year to 827. Rolls-Royce cites emerging economies including India as their strongest markets. The company hasn't released details on how many current orders it has but has said it remains confident about the future. The next move is the plan for the "baby" Rolls known as the RR4 which will be available in 2010. The push to bring car deliveries up to close to 2,000 by then has necessitated the creation of 200 additional jobs at the factory at Goodwood, East Sussex."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: We are all a part of life's great "layer cake". While most of us sit too close to the epicenter of this current global economic crisis to escape the shock, as the ripple effect expands, the pressure and pain of plummeting paper becomes increasingly less pronounced the further away an individual gets from "ground zero". Y.O.U. insulate yourself from every hiccup that the stock market experiences - enabling Y.O.U. to better protect your family and loved ones and, then, Y.O.U. order a Rolls-Royce while everybody else is fucked up. I'm not there yet, however, I am never too weary or tired to aspire for more. This Is Livestyle.

Phantom Of The Blockera.

"The Rolls Royce Hyperion was designed and built by Pininfarina for a private client who wanted a unique Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé. The Rolls Royce Hyperion is based on the chassis of the Drophead Coupé but numerous changes have been implemented most notably the steering wheel has been pushed back forty centimeters and the rear seats have been removed, the elongated hood features two compartments used for storage directly in front of the windscreen. The interior remains largely unchanged except for the Rolls Royce dashboard clock has now been replaced with a custom made Girard Perregaux Tourbillon which fits onto a special mount on the dashboard and can be worn as a wristwatch. The body of the car has been completely redesigned and is made of carbon fiber with the front end and grille getting a more modern touch."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: With this shit right here, Rolls Royce (the classic English, now BMW owned and produced motors company) takes an already luxurious concept and applies an almost old school "roadster" look to it. This car is no joke my nig. Could you imagine this cruising through the hood? Shiiiiiiiit, if I saw this, even as an adult, I'd start pointing and playing "that's my car" ... lol. True story.

Rolls Royce Phantom "Watchamacallit"?

This car "allegedly" belongs to the Sultan Of Brunei's family. Yes, this is their hooptie! It looks like a futuristic Nissan 350Z homie. Daaaaaaaaaamn!
