Helloooooo Ladies: The Girard-Perregaux Cat's Eye Tourbillon Haute Joaillerie Watch = That Park Avenue Ice Grill Chill.

"For half a million dollars you can get a lot of watches or this lovely new high jewelry watch from Swiss Girard-Perregaux. The Cat's Eye Tourbillon Haute Joaillerie timepiece has an 18k white gold case and is 32mm wide by 38mm tall in the typical Cat's Eye oval shape. It has a stunning amount of large diamonds all over it. According to Girard-Perregaux the watch required over 700 hours of work to create, containing over 20 carats of diamonds. The precious stones come in various cuts and are placed all over the case, crown, and dial.

Inside the watch is a Girard-Perregaux in-house made caliber GP09700-0006 manually wound tourbillon movement. The Tourbillon escapement is visible on the dial using a traditional GP style bridge. The movement has a power reserve of about three days. Attached to the strap is a gray satin strap with a white gold buckle... and more diamonds. Price for this very impressive haute joaillerie watch is $490,000."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Where I would typically bemoan such an over the top appropriation of diamonds as merely yet another vulgar display of nouveau riche naivete, I've had a change of heart today. Hey, what can I say? It's wild hot outside and people need their ice b ... lol. I can't front though, in the interest of full disclosure, it certainly doesn't hurt matters that the decadent piece in question is this Girard-Perregaux Cat's Eye Tourbillon Haute Joaillerie Watch. Yup, I'm partial to nice things and I don't care who knows it!

Anyway, this fancy feline represents the height of Haute Horlogerie sporting the signature oval shape silhouette characteristic of the "Cat's Eye" series set entirely in 287 dazzling baguette-cut diamonds. So deluged in diamonds is this watch in fact that - aside from the grey satin watch strap (NOTE: Which itself proudly bears a nimble white gold pin buckle closure set with 13 dancing baguette-cut diamonds totalling 0.56 ct) - the overflowing crowd of carats only parts ever so briefly to reveal the Girard-Perregaux Tourbillon movement with gold bridge, itself a symbol of the brand's storied watchmaking expertise.

Message To The Livestyle Ladies: Listen, anybody whose pockets are chunky enough to drop $490,000 on this ticker has EVERY right to spit shit like, *Cue Biggie Smalls Voice* "Niggas 'round the way call me "Igloo" ... stick who!?" early! I see Y.O.U. shorty. Stop playing.

In full accordance with the protocols of Livestyle it is my sworn province to indicate, clarify and ultimately elaborate upon any fuzzy references that might have escaped the casual observer. Honestly though, @ this point of the game I feel like I really shouldn't have to school ANYBODY reading this blog on Biggie lyrics, but one never knows, right? LOL.

So yeah, in any event, that "Igloo" line cited in the main body of this post was a direct quote from the late, great "N-O-T-O-R-I-O-U-S, you just lay down slow ..." as featured on the DJ Clark Kent Produced classic "Brooklyn's Finest" off of Jay-Z's brilliant debut album, "Reasonable Doubt". The Nike Air Force 1 Low "Brooklyn Borough Edition" Supreme I/O Quickstrike Release = Yes, I Am A Brooklyn Bigot And Proud Of It!

"Nike introduced their latest quickstrike pack designed by the famous DJ Clark Kent. Clark Kent as most know is the only one out there that can make the Air Force 1 appealing again. His brilliant ability to blend neat colorways into each other and match up signature patterns has helped Nike revitalize the Air Force 1. The Brooklyn Edition Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme I/O is one of the most sought after pairs part of the pack. The ‘Five Boroughs’ pack contains 5 different models representing the five boroughs of New York City. Each pair represents each borough properly!

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Every so often, there comes a day when we are each forced to face the cold, unforgiving mirror of reality and confront our own ugly prejudices. For me, today was such a day.

Soooooooooooo, yeah, yesterday I caught wind of the Nike Air Force 1 Quickstrike "5 Borough" Pack and I wasn't really into it. I mean, not only have I long discontinued my membership in the NetJets® Nike Air Force 1 fractional ownership program, but, too add insult to indifference, all I saw were the Manhattan, Queens and the Bronx "Borough Edition" releases. Who fucking cares? However, upon waking up bright and early this magnificent morning to check my email, I was excited to find that the homie Barris @ Osneaker.Com had sent me the complete release information for the Nike Air Force 1 Low "Brooklyn Borough Edition" Supreme I/O from this Quickstrike package ... now we're talking ... lol.

While I can remain very much objective concerning matters of a less intimate nature (NOTE: Like, say, for instance, Global Warming ... lol), with regard to my beloved home turf, I make absolutely no attempt to hide or apologize for my bias ... Brooklyn all day! Fellow Brooklyn native and friend of Livestyle, the world famous DJ Clark Kent, designed this entire über limited edition Tier 0 collection and, without a doubt, put that extra hometown L.O.V.E. into the "B.rooklyn E.dition" Air Force 1.

Featuring a wool and leather blended upper and a chenille (NOTE: Think high school varsity jacket "Letterman" patch material) signature "Swoosh", these black and plum colored bad boys might just own the "Athletic" bracket of this Fall's fly footwear league. Y.O.U. see it. Holla @ ya boy in BK!

The Lafayette x DJ Clark Kent x Paulie's (Vinnie's Styles) 7th Anniversary Collabo T-Shirt For Lafayette = 3 The Fly Way.

"Lafayette recently celebrated their 7th anniversary and as usual, they have gotten together with many of the brands they stock. More details on the other collaborations will be revealed later but the first to drop are the t-shirts made in conjunction with DJ Clark Kent and Paulie's, an inhouse brand from Vinnys Styles. A simple typographic graphic is the result and the colorway draws inspiration from the previously released DJ Clark Kent sneakers. There is a black body and white body prepared each with Lafayette logo in neon green font and gray shadow screen printed on the front. Back neck features the Paulie's logo and left sleeve is printed with DJ Clark Kent logo in the same neon green and gray colorways. One more note for those who are feeling these designs is that a cap version of these looks to drop as well soon. Stay tuned for more information."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: As my girlfriend has recently been feeding me a steady diet of HBO On Demand preserved episodes from season 2 of the hit series "True Blood", forgive me if that show's fantabulously gay character, "Lafayette" ("Yass bitches!"), instantly came to mind upon 1st seeing this shirt. I mean, I thought this was some kind of fan paraphernalia gone mainstream. Thankfully, it is not. For I would have been loath to support HBO's continued dedication to the emasculation of the Black man.

Anyway, indeed, the good news here is that this offering is actually the result of preeminent Japanese streetwear label and preferred "Land Of The Rising Sun" Hipster haberdashers, Lafayette, hopping a trans-continental flight and hooking up with Brooklyn's very own DJ Clark Kent and Paulie's (NOTE: Vinnie's Styles in-house brand) to celebrate their 7th anniversary with these special limited edition t-shirts.

Inspired by the simple yet striking colorway of an earlier sneaker collabo between Lafayette and DJ Clark Kent (NOTE: And also a perfect match for a good O.G. pair of Nike Air Max 95's) this commemorative t-shirt is available in either black or white and is emblazoned with a stylized "Lafayette" signature logo in neon green and gray shadow screen print on the front. Of course the standard Brooklyn bum rush is in full effect as well as the back neck and left sleeve prominently feature both the Paulie's and DJ Clark Kent logos respectively. Simply dope. Chop it up Hibachi style and get Y.O.U. 1 homie. Good shit!

"We Fight Every Night, Now That's Not Kosher, I Reminisce With Bliss Of When We Was Closer"

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Previously recognized here in the annals of Livestyle as the "polite man's kicking a bitch to the curb anthem", "Looking At The Front Door" is a classic Hip Hop record that hearkens back to a time when talented MC's spun tales deeply rooted in all facets of "real" life and were not afraid to convey an emotional range that encompassed more than just gleeful ignorance and senseless violence. All of my fellas know that this song is, more or less, 3 minutes and change of pure timeless truisms and quotables courtesy of notable Senior Lecturer in Foul Female Psychology: the meritorious Large Professor. Yessir, women have Faith and Mary J. Blige (Ok, we've got Mary too ... lol) and we have this!

Sidebar: I remember DJ Clark Kent once telling me that Jay-Z had actually remade this gem a few years back. Rumor or fantastic fact? Either way, this shit sounds like something that the world needs to hear ASAP my nigga. Sooooooooooooo, will some enterprising and/or benevolent (NOTE: Heart and commerce CAN coexist ... lol) soul leak this elusive exclusive to the streets OR will the Seagate™ Firewire drive locked in the combination safe @ Bassline Studios forever hold it's peace? Is this song destined to suffer the same excruciatingly indefinite fate as the Dream Hampton penned "The Black Book" autobiography? What's really good?

Rare Party Footage From The Petersen Automotive Museum Circa March 9, 1997 - Hours Before The Notorious B.I.G. Was Killed.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Like, on the real, deadass, honestly, watching this über rare video footage from the very same party @ The Petersen Automotive Museum in L.A. the night that Biggie was murdered almost brings tears to my eyes. I mean, it's just quite disconcerting, in retrospect, to see the people in this video partying dumb hard - poppin' bottles (I see Y.O.U. in your best Don Pooh outfit Clark Kent ... lol) and dancing - only moments before tragedy struck. The greatest rapper of all time was about to be gunned down right outside of this venue and nobody (NOTE: Put the conspiracy theories on hold for a minute dog) knew a thing.  Damn.

DJ Clark Kent Interview @ NHTVSN.

This candid interview with the legendary DJ Clark Kent pretty much covers all of what Livestyle is all about.  Whenever Clark and I get up we build and a real conversation with him is always productive.  Oh yeah, his sneaker game is bananas, but he can't touch my original 1986 Gucci kicks - that's about the only win that I've got on son as far as the shoes go though ... lol.

I already know that some of my readers will not appreciate the fact that DJ Clark Kent does NOT rank the late, great Tupac Shakur as a top-ten lyricist, however, don't let that sour Y.O.U. on watching this clip. This is Hip Hop. For the record, while I do L.O.V.E. a gang of his songs, Pac was never 1 of my favorite rappers either my nigga.  It is what it is.  Shout out to China and Paul Parris - I know that you guys are gonna laugh extra hard @ Clark just being Clark in this video.  Holla @ ya boy in BK!
