Nicki Minaj Ft. Chris Brown - Right By My Side (Official Music Video)(Co-Starring Nas)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS:  Art imitates life in this visual for Nicki Minaj's latest bubblegum Billboard® chart sticker, "Right By My Side" for it seems that both offscreen and now onscreen Chris "I Wanna Be Like Ike" Brown has documented difficulty in controlling his hoes!

Yup, 1st Rih-Rih ventured waaaaaaaaaaaaay out of pocket seemingly never to return again and now, fictional though it may be, "Mattel® "Booty Shot" Barbie®" does the same; chucking the "deuce" to Mr. "Dueces" himself and falling for ... wait for it ... wait for it ... legendary blue-ribbon bar spitter and equally legendary L.O.V.E. loser, Nasty Nas! Ha haaaaaaaaa! Way to go all #Tongueslut on her Esco! Good shit!

Future Ft. Drake - Tony Montana (Official Music Video)(Directed By Jessy Terrero)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Yup! Just as I predicted, there is 0 sign of Drizzy "Wheelchair Jimmy" Drake in this video. No surprises here ... he was probably somewhere drunk dialing Rihanna and clutching the Bounty® Paper Towel that had originally been tucked in his shirt for "mobbin'" purposes and using it to blot the tears on his fetal alcohol syndrome addled face. Whatevs. That's no problemo for Future (NOTE: Who sounds about as nimble tongued speaking Spanish as New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg ... minus the accuracy ... lol). Good shit!

Rihanna - We Found Love (Official Music Video)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Word up, I almost didn't even post this video because the Chris Brown look-a-like(?) in this shit has more than a little too much sugar in his tank. This estrogen filled cream puff threatens the integrity of this video with each and every frame that he skips into, but, Rihanna ... ohhhhhhhhhh, Rihanna makes everything alright.

Furthermore, I can appreciate (NOTE: Although unoriginal in concept and most likely predatory in its usage, given the fact that today's youth are painfully uninformed and proud, making it that much easier to pass-off pre-shrunk ideas as new and "cutting edge".) the drug fueled toxic-romance subtext with a British twist ala Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen intermeshed with Rih-Rih's real life relationship woes for this clip, sooooooooooooooooo, yeah, "We Found Love" gets a day pass ... lol. Cheers!

Respect The Architects: R.I.P. Alexander McQueen.

"The British fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead at the age of 40 in his London home.

His body was discovered at the property in Green Street, central London, shortly after 10am today. Paramedics were called but he was pronounced dead at the scene. A postmortem has been scheduled but police said his death was not being treated as suspicious. They would not comment on reports he had killed himself.

A spokeswoman for McQueen said: "Mr McQueen was found dead this morning at his home. We're devastated and I hope you understand that out of respect to his family and his colleagues we're not going to be making any further statement."

The death comes days before the start of London fashion week and a month before the designer was to unveil his new collection at Paris fashion week.

His family asked for privacy to come to terms with the death of McQueen, whose first name was Lee.

His company, Alexander McQueen, issued a statement saying: "On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand, has been found dead at his home. At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family."

"Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this."

Tributes quickly poured in after news of McQueen's sudden death.

Alexandra Shulman, the editor of British Vogue, said McQueen had influenced a whole generation of designers. "His brilliant imagination knew no bounds as he conjured up collection after collection of extraordinary designs," she said. "At one level he was a master of the fantastic, creating astounding fashion shows that mixed design, technology and performance and on another he was a modern-day genius whose gothic aesthetic was adopted by women the world over. His death is the hugest loss to anyone who knew him and for very many who didn't."

The designer Katherine Hamnett said: "He was a genius. What a terrible, tragic waste."

Dame Vivienne Westwood said she was "incredibly sorry" to hear the news.

Matthew Williamson said: "I am shocked and deeply saddened by McQueen's death. He was a genius and his talent was second to none. Like many others I always cited him as a hugely inspirational leader of world fashion. He will be greatly missed."

A spokesman for the model Kate Moss said: "Kate is shocked and devastated at the tragic loss of her dear friend Lee McQueen. Her thoughts are with his family at this sad time."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: As the preferred online destination of both urban and urbane tastemakers in the "know", @ it's best, I endeavor to make Livestyle a force of culture that is a worthwhile information hub for all whom visit this site. As my brother Niketown would say, I like to mix the "medicine" in with the "food" and along with your standard music video fair, regularly provide Y.O.U. with a comprehensive world view not found on any other Hip Hop blog - sure, other bloggers regurgitate fashion trends, but none are as dope boy fresh "Heroin Chic" and street as me. That being the case, when my Twitter timeline lit up this morning with news of the death of the "master of the fantastic", the genius Alexander McQueen, although I rarely, if ever, lead with death notices, I knew that I had to open with this story.

Reports abound that his untimely death @ the young age of 40 was indeed a suicide, however, I can neither confirm nor deny such assumptions, nor would I care to. No, I would much rather focus on his accomplishments and his great importance to the world of high end fashion as a champion of fearless innovation. Aside from the homie Curt@!n$ (and possibly a handful of other aesthetically astute rappers), the name "Alexander McQueen" never did receive the nouveau riche name droppery necessary for most casual fans to notice him (NOTE: I mean, he DID recently do a crazy collabo with Puma for an über exclusive sneaker collection, but ... how many people really know that? LOL.). Nevertheless, for those of us that pride ourselves on our MENSA-like high Fly.Q's, the name "Alexander McQueen" rings more bells than a blind pizza delivery man stuck in an apartment complex lobby.

Born March 16, 1969 in the town of Lewisham, London, this fellow Piscean left school @ the tender age of 16 to work apprenticeships @ prestigious Savile Row tailors Anderson and Shephard, and then @ the neighboring firm of Gieves and Hawkes. As his star rose, he came into his own and, in 10 short years, became chief designer @ the celebrated French fashion house Givenchy in 1996 where he stayed, reinvigorating the label until 2001. Not to be outdone, Mr. McQueen pulled double duty also running his own flourishing eponymous empire. Chances are that Y.O.U. are more familiar with this man's contributions to fashion than even Y.O.U. might ever imagine. He introduced the rebellious "skull" motif AND "plumber butt" low-rise jeans looks to the world of ready-to-wear that, no thanks to "biters" have become painfully ubiquitous, but where originally cutting edge offerings from this brilliant artist who won British Fashion Designer Of The Year award a staggering 4 times. Additionally, his seasonal haute-couture shows were dramatic theatrical displays of extreme silhouettes and meticulous tailoring all vividly brought to life on celebrity and socialite lined catwalks across the globe. Yup, Madonna, Bjork, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and fashion editors all agree: Alexander McQueen was crazy nice with his son!

Sadly, Alexander McQueen's mother died only weeks ago and, so, my sincerest thoughts and prayers especially go out to the entire McQueen family as they now must face double the loss. Recognize and realize this man's incomparable talent (NOTE: And watch prices for his collections skyrocket on eBay). R.I.P. Lee Alexander McQueen.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: FACT: I am not a huge fan of awards shows. I simply don't care about them. Admittedly, though, the more ghetto the worse (Yes! I'm talking to Y.O.U. BET and OZONE Magazine ... lol). Nevertheless, I am bound by Blogger pop-culture social contract to provide my prized readers a standard, if not completely comprehensive, recap (READ: G-cap) of last nights 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.

I'll leave the red carpet breakdown to the 'E' Channel and the rest of the self-absorbed celebrity coverage to some other website. Y.O.U. know the drill: A galaxy of stars converged on The Staples Center in LA. People won. People lost. A good time was had by all. Holla @ ya boy in BK!

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: GOD help Y.O.U. if Y.O.U. did not have Digital or Satellite Cable last night as seemingly every channel aired the commercial free Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit for Earthquake Relief concert/telethon! Now, in no way was that a b-a-d thing as this star studded event was for the most noble of causes.

Daily readers of Livestyle have no doubt noticed my omission of the recent events in Haiti. This was deliberate on my part. The fact is that Haiti has long been an extremely troubled nation and, thanks to a number of great friends and people whom I consider family who are Haitian, I have come to know that country's plight pretty well.

Understandably, one might view that as added incentive for me to provide critical and comprehensive cover of this tragedy with a depth of understanding that only Livestyle can provide, however, in light of the barrage of horrific images splashed all over our HD television screens, I have decided to give yall a break on the Haiti action. News of this magnitude deserves all of the attention that it is getting, but, sometimes, it can all be a bit much. How many times anybody need to hear that the death toll is climbing well over 100,000 people and that it may possibly even reach 200,000? Feel me? I want this to be your oasis of choice. That having been said, I do feel a responsibility to address this disaster and the Hope for Haiti just gave me the perfect segue into such a difficult topic.

From day 1 the outpouring of L.O.V.E. and concern for the people of Haiti has been staggering. Very few of us could ever imagine what Richter Scale topping 7.0 earthquake feels like, let alone the kind of devastation that it could bring to a region in a matter of seconds. Add to that the fact that Haiti has long been 1 of the most impoverished nations in the whole entire world and you've got a recipe for destruction like no other.

Thanks to the efforts of uber stars like the always social consicious and, more importantly, politically active (NOTE: Because waaaaaaaaaay to many celebrities merely talk a good 1) George Clooney along with Brad Pitt, Halle Berry, Steven Speilberg and heartfelt performances from such top tier entertainers as Stevie Wonder, Bono and The Edge of U2, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Madonna, Alicia Keys, Shakira, Justin Timberlake, Matt Morris and more, the Hope For Haiti Fund was broadcast on most major television channels and raked in $57 million bucks in 1 night alone with 100% of the proceeds going to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, Oxfam America, Partners In Health, Red Cross, UNICEF, United Nations World Food Programme, and Wyclef's Yéle Haiti Foundation. Not too shabby for a days take ... lol.

I encourage everyone to donate to this cause in any way possible - be it money, clothing, utensils or time. Remember, once the camera crews pack up and the Hollywood stars go back to movie making, Haiti will still need the world's help. Stay focused.

NEW MUSIC: Rihanna "Redemption Song" (For Haiti Relief) Oprah Performance x CDQ Streaming Audio/Download Link.

Streaming Audio/Download Link: Rihanna - Redemption Song (For Haiti Relief)(CDQ)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Although anyone other than the late, great Bob Marley singing this incredible song - especially the vocally underwhelming yet beautiful Rihanna - can be regarded as high treason, because it is for the Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund, I can certainly make exception. Put your money where your mouth is kid! Support my Haitian people.
