As a founding member of the "Masters Of Ceremony" Grand Puba has a rich Hip Hop lineage that predates his time running with the N.ow R.ule (NOTE: N.ow R.ule is the 5% Supreme Alphabet abbreviation for New Rochelle, New York. Yeah, I know ... I owe Y.O.U. @ least a brief introduction to the language of Universal Mathematics) Mob, but the homie truly came into his own with Brand Nubian's debut album "One For All" and this tune did the trick!

Grand Puba has always exhibited a great talent for Reggae tinged, slightly melodic flows coupled with witty and intelligent lyricism and "Step To The Rear" covers all bases. Even today, most rappers can't fuck with barbwire sharp bars like, "If Pu ain't the answer, then you must be sick as cancer/Smooth romancer, let it ring, I'll probably answer/So come take a dip with your "private dancer"/Nasty, naughty/Over 6' call me shorty/But I'm looooong...I'm like Stretch Armstrong/I go/On and on and on and on".
