Krug Wants Y.O.U. To Pop Champagne On Your Own Terms.

"Champagne Krug "On My Own Terms"

Food & Spirits: Renowned French champagne house Krug, founded in 1843 and now part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) luxury empire, is coming out with a new bespoke offering in time for the holidays. The "Krug on My Own Terms" consists of a wooden case of six bottles of champagne from the Krug cellars in Reims. The champagne is Krug's prestigious Grand Cuvée, dubbed "the timelessly stylish signature of Krug," that "effortlessly balances richness and freshness, power and finesse."

The Grand Cuvée bottles are packed in a case bearing a bespoke plaque made either of metal, mirror or saddle leather, engraved with the purchaser or recipient's name or initials, and emblazoned with the signature House of Krug logo. Priced at $1,000, it's the ultimate holiday gift for the serious champagne lover. The "On My Own Terms" case is the latest in a line of stylish Krug offerings.

The champagne house has previously released the Krug Hat Box, a chapeau-shaped box containing either two bottles of Grand Cuvée in gift boxes for $300, or three bottles without gift boxes for $450. They have also collaborated with bespoke luggage maker Pinel & Pinel on the Krug Escape Artist Collection of trunks, in poker, cigar and audio/visual versions, for $15,000 apiece."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: As previously covered in the annals of Livestyle, personalized/bespoke anything is, when achievable, is always the way to go. Listen, during this tumultuous and sure to be prolonged global market correction, ALL of our money is on the P.hysically U.nable to P.erfom list, but, still and all, this is a good deal homie.

The engraved to order "On My Own Terms" case of Krug champagne is just the latest in a line of luxurious offerings from this Grand Cuvée camp. Basically, If you've got a stack to drop this holiday season, Y.O.U. might want to snatch up this swank gift set. Don't trip, per our usual arrangement, I will show Y.O.U. how to do this son. Holla @ ya boy in BK!

Stephen A. Smith Breaks Down The Current State Of The Professional Black Athelete In America.

Get your urban news at DimeWars.Com

Yes, Stephen A. Smith can be a self righteous motherfucker from time-to-time, but he knows his sports and, more importantly, is not afraid to step outside of his sportscaster "box" and give the world a dose of reality.  This video says it all. Sadly, even with Barack Obama about to take the highest office in the world, many people will regard his successes and that of other prominent minorities as anomalies that are not consistent with our greater community. Stop fuckin' around yall.

Yes, When It Comes To A James Bond Audition, Even Diddy Has To Pay Like He Weighs.

"Earlier this month, nouveau James Bond Daniel Craig floated the idea that his successor in the famous role need not be white. "I think the role could easily be played by a black actor, because the character created by Ian Fleming in the '50s has undergone a great deal of evolution and continues to be updated," Craig said at a Quantum of Solace press conference. "After Barack Obama's victory I think we might have reached the moment for a colored 007."

Rap mogul, designer and aspiring actor Sean "Diddy" Combs (above) apparently not only agrees, but has determined the Bond role should go to him. Combs just spent $750,000 of his own money shooting a sort of audition / calling card which he sent to Bond producers in an effort to convince them. The video, full of Bond-like action sequences, was shot in the South of France. "This is my audition tape for the next James Bond," Combs tells the London Daily Mirror. "There is a black President and it's time for there to be a black Bond."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: In a continuing pursuit to expand his brand and legitimize himself as a true acting tour de force, Sean "Diddy" Combs, did what we should ALL do @ some point in our lives and invested in himself.

Now, when I 1st caught wind of this headline I incorrectly assumed that this nigga was actually paying the movie studio to be James Bond - such antics would devastate the 007 legacy and be a colossal waste of money on Diddy's part.  However, since he simply shot what 1 would imagine to be the-audition-reel-to-end-all-audition-reels, when he inevitably does NOT get the role (because, for the sake of cinematic integrity, he simply cannot be James Bond), he can chop up the footage and make a few more of those "I Am King" mini-movie commercials out of this.  I mean, after all, this man did invent the remix ... lol.

The Louis Vuitton Cup: 25 Years of Yacht Racing in Pursuit of the America's Cup = Yachtzee!

"The America's Cup, which is 45 years older than the modern Olympics, is of course the world's most famous sailing race. However the Louis Vuitton Cup, sponsored by the famed French luxury goods house for the past 25 years, is actually considered by many to be the more exciting regatta. While only two yachts compete in the America's Cup, several take part in the LV Cup which has been a rite of passage for yachtsmen looking to challenge the defending champion of the America's Cup since 1983.

A beautiful new book celebrates this great era in world-class sailing: The Louis Vuitton Cup: 25 Years of Yacht Racing in Pursuit of the America's Cup. Louis Vuitton's ties to the world of yachting go back much further of course. In addition to many traveling trunks and items designed for use on ocean voyages, from 1933 to 1938 Gaston-Louis Vuitton developed a unique model boat division, and in 1935 for example one could acquire from LV a scale model of Cornelius Vanderbilt's famous steam yacht the North Star (see the gallery).

The book, by yacht designer, professor of naval architecture at the University of Nantes, and marine author and artist Francois Chevalier, pays homage to the exceptional navigators and avid photographers who helped forge the reputation of the Louis Vuitton Cup, and offers an impassioned account of the competition's inception and vision, accompanied by gorgeous photographs both modern and vintage. The book also offers an in-depth look at seven landmark races in the regatta's history.

The Louis Vuitton Cup also shows how the America's Cup itself paralleled Vuitton's expansion from a company that began by making travel trunks to its current stature as an internationally renowned luxury brand. The book traces the trajectory of the Louis Vuitton Cup, recounting stories of the individual races and victories, from the first in Newport, Rhode Island in 1983 (won by the Australia II which went on to win the America's Cup, puting an end to 132 years if American dominance) to the last in Valencia, Spain in 2007, won by the Emirates Team New Zealand. It presents profiles of its greatest winners and pays tribute to the world's most talented yachtsmen and the photographers who, passionate about the sea, helped forge the regatta's reputation."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS:  NOTE: This picture of the Louis Vuitton Cup is NOT from the commemorative book, however, it wouldn't make any sense for Y.O.U. to read this post without actually seeing the trophy. So yeah, there it goes.  Exciting much?  I know, not really, but this shit does matter to somebody somewhere ... lol.  It is what it is.

Deal With It.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: In my esteemed opinion, the Cacharel sale could be a total bust for the ladies. This French fashion house's ready-to-wear collections have taken a backseat to their popular perfumes in recent years and their "no phone" number, their on insistence only guaranteeing "reduced" prices on their items and the fact that the sale is only 1 day long leaves a little bit too much to the imagination and offers too little inspiration to but from them.

On the other hand, Dior Homme, offering sales of up to 50% off, looks like a serious deal for the fellas. This sale could be a real winner. Good shit.

Stephen Colbert: Operation Humble Kanye West.

My main man Stephen Colbert calls Kanye West a "sunglasses display mannequin"! Hilarious!

Scarface Ft. Bilal - Can't Get Right

Do yourself a favor and cop this man's album. Scarface "Emeritus" in stores now!

Santogold Ft. Spank Rock - Shove It

Following in the footsteps of sampling M.I.A. for "Swagger Like Us", Kanye West sampled Ms. Santogold's dope "Shove It" record (which features tight pants trendoid Philly rapper Spank Rock) for Jay-Z's latest joint "Brooklyn (Go Hard)".

In accordance with our original agreement and manifesto for Livestyle, I put Y.O.U. on and Y.O.U. in turn run and go impress your friends with all of the cool new information that Y.O.U. have. I mean, the only way to truly participate in Livestyle is to be in the know, ya know? Each 1 teach 1. Holla @ ya boy in BK!

They simply do not air this Mastercard commercial enough my nigga. Now, these are some really cool White kids.

Let's Take A Class Trip To The Orchard ... Street That Is.

I've been sitting on this flyer for a few days now, but there should still be some rare gems floating around @ this great sale as my-longest-running-friend-and-brother-from-another-mother, Mr. 401K, has promised me that Orchard Street replenishes their sale items stock daily. In Related News: I am still waiting on my super exclusive Orchard Street Reebok Pumps. Tell Reebok to cut the bureaucracy crap and give me mines ... lol.  What's good?

A-Life Rivington Club x Mitchell & Ness Collabo Varsity Jacket = Too Cool For School.

"Alife Rivington Club and seminal sportswear brand Mitchell & Ness recently got together to collaborate on one of the labels signature items, the Varsity jacket. Done in black and white, with either purple or red highlights, the jackets represent both brands rather nicely. A great piece for the Winter season."

Information Courtesy Of: Fyi-Mag.Com

Visit A-Life Rivington Club Online Here: Rivingtonclub.Com

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS:  Sometimes, although I might respect and adore a particular brand and their work, I still will rarely wear any of their garments.  My deliberate decision to shun such labels usually comes from an accute disdain for the type of people who wear the brand rather than any actual problem with the brand itself.  Case In Point:  A-Life Rivington Club.

Much like Supreme (which still, through heavy product quantity control, manages to keep 99% of their items über exclusive) and Crooks & Castles, A-Life Rivington Club doesn't typically pique my interest because it, along with the other aforementioned brands, has become the "go-to" shit - indeed a hipster "starter kit" of sorts - for any lame-o looking to buy his or her way into the "Downtown" scene.  Livestyle is all about exclusivity, so I will always elect to go with the less than obvious choice.

With that said, these ARC x Mitchell & Ness collabo varsity jackets are simply too good to ignore my nigga.  1) I L.O.V.E. varsity jackets and 2) the attention to detail, from the "158" on the sleeve (a clear nod to A-Life's 158 store address on Rivington Street in Lower Manhattan) to the overall construction of these jackets is sure to be on point fuckin' with a classic sportswear company like Mitchell & Ness.

A-Life consistently has flavorful pieces, but this release could be a real game changer for me.  Stay tuned.

Visit LOLA New York Online Here: Lolanewyork.Com

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: The good people over @ LOLA New York initially caught my discerning eye with a sweatshirt emblazoned with a varsity/collegiate style letter "L" that must have been designed with me in mind. I went to the company website and copped that dandy immediately in 1 color and, when there was a ridiculously long hold up with my important order, the Human Resources Department @ LOLA New York did the right thing and sent me an additional version of the sweatshirt that I had ordered in an alternate colorway. Yes, I got 2 joints for the price of 1. Basically, I've been following this brand ever since ... lol.

To celebrate the relaunch of their online store, this still blossoming label has released a generous collection of simple yet striking limited edition t-shirts. As always, Livestyle prides itself on living life ahead of the curve and furnishing the official fashion forward handbook for all of my cool ladies and gents. So yeah, Y.O.U. can and should now add LOLA New York to the list of brands that Y.O.U. need to better acquaint yourself with pronto uomo.  What are Y.O.U. waiting for?

NEW MUSIC: Jay-Z Ft. Santogold - Brooklyn (Go Hard)(Produced By Kanye West)(Dirty)(NO DJ) From The Forthcoming Notorious Movie OST

Streaming Audio/Download Link: Jay-Z Ft. Santogold - Brooklyn (Go Hard)(Produced By Kanye West)(Dirty)(NO DJ)

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: This song is experiencing tremendous exponential growth in my preference rankings. Like, last night I thought that it was just alright, nothing to write a kite about, but, today, I have a greater appreciation for this Jay-Z track off of the forthcoming Notorious Movie Soundtrack produced by Kanye West and featuring M.I.A. doppelganger Santogold ... lol. I fuxs with this record. I mean, truth is truth ... Brooklyn, we do go hard. Y.O.U. already know.

Typo Buddy Just Made My eBay Game Extra Gully!

"For those who do some of their holiday shopping on eBay there's a new service to help find deals. Many people who list on eBay don't always spell the designer names of products properly. Savvy eBayers have been known to find these auctions and bid on them since the prices will be lower. But now the secret is out and a new website called Typo Buddy helps find misspelled auctions on eBay and Craigslist. Type in a name and it will bring up a list of misspelled auctions. The site also list the top ten misspellings including Abercrombie, Louis Vuitton and Callaway Golf but also some surprises including ipod, laptop and Disney."

Information Courtesy Of: Luxist.Com

Friend Request Typo Buddy Here: Typobuddy.Com

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: A common query that people ask daily of me goes something like this, "Hey Chris Live AKA Shaker, where did Y.O.U. get that dope ass X_____________________ (insert any article of clothing here)?" and, often times, my reply is, "eBay".

My brother Niketown and I are old school eBay users who, after being put on to eBay by Uptown's very own Apea of the KB crew waaaaaaaaay back in 1998, have exploited this site as our very own "lost & found" vintage clothing store/new exclusive kicks depot and have ruined many a Paypal account and user name in the process ... lol.

Anyway, this Typo Buddy application is a GODsend. Seriously, Y.O.U. have no idea how many sellers on eBay misspell things thereby rendering them unrecognizable to the site's search engine. Until now, Y.O.U. would just have to stumble upon these great finds by accident, however, not anymore. The future is now! I think that I L.O.V.E. Y.O.U. already Typo Buddy ... lol. Useful shit.

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: As a loyal Livestyle reader completely tuned into the wavelength of this fly HD channel, Y.O.U. may have noticed that, recently, my typically terrific post output has been slightly less than prodigious. Y.O.U. deserve an explanation and an explanation Y.O.U. shall have. See, as an artist, the natural ebb and flow of my creative ventures dictates that a nigga sometimes gotta go hardbody karate in the studio and that is exactly what has been going on lately mate. Don't believe me? Check the videos my friend.

The Heatmakerz "Crash Project" is what it is. The Heatmakerz are family (I've known them for years) and, now, I have been blessed with the opportunity to be an integral part of a collective that includes Ameer, D.O.X. and Karty along with Rsonist and myself, Chris Live AKA Shaker ... shit is serious like satellite radio homie. Respect and support the hustle. Now Y.O.U. know and knowing is half the battle. Holla @ ya boy in BK!
