"In another move by Marc Jacobs to bring Louis Vuitton to the mainstream, the already successful second round collaboration between LV and Stephen Sprouse, is set to release this limited edition (3 total. Yes, 3) skateboard and carrying case. All this to say, you’re priming yourself to get jacked at the skatepark for the case, and cry after your first tailslide. Available only at LV’s SoHo location on Greene Street [New York City] starting on Thursday, they will retail for $8,250 each. If you’re in the area, be sure to check out the store, wrapped in spray painted neon graffiti vinyl and a window displayed, 6-foot neon light installation in Sprouse’s Rose motif."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: As previously featured here @ Livestyle, under the artful and marketing driven direction of master fashion label multi-tasker Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton has re-imagined and is set to re-release their über popular "graffiti" collection that they originally created with the late, great American Pop-Art pioneer Stephen Sprouse in 2000.
Anyway, while most items from this sure-to-sell-out-faster-than-Bob-Johnson-supporting-Hillary-Clinton collection will retail anywhere from $175 - $2,500 and better, this super limited edition Louis Vuitton and Stephen Sprouse Skateboard and Carrying Case is something else altogether. I mean, this shit is cool as a concept, but, every true sk8r knows that 1) decks are made to ride and 2) the only thing that Y.O.U. should carry your board by is it's greasy and grinded out Independent trucks. Shiiiiiiiiiiit, @ $8,250, this pricey piece better come with a half pipe ramp my nigga ... lol.
