Yes, Stephen A. Smith can be a self righteous motherfucker from time-to-time, but he knows his sports and, more importantly, is not afraid to step outside of his sportscaster "box" and give the world a dose of reality. Sadly, even with Barack Obama about to take the highest office in the world, many people will regard his successes and that of other prominent minorities as anomalies that are not consistent with our greater community.
