As If His Latest Album Wasn't Indication Enough, Kanye West Really Does Want To Quit His Day Job.

"Kanye West to Quit Rap for Job at Louis Vuitton

Grammy Award-winning rapper, record producer and shameless self-promoter Kanye West plans to ditch his music career in favor of fashion.

West, 31, tells the London Daily Mirror he'll move to the British capital next year to begin at the bottom rung with an internship at Louis Vuitton's UK HQ in Bond Street - or so he hopes.

"I'm going to go and take an internship and just do something that's like completely normal," he tells the paper, "and just rap at the weekends or something."

If the Vuitton gig doesn't materialize, West will apply at other major European fashion houses in hopes of learning the rag trade. Any fashionistas out there want a major pain in the ass to fetch coffee and such?"

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: The dynamic drama queen/sunglasses mannequin (thank Y.O.U. Stephen Colbert) that is Kanye West never fails to test the limits of absurdity. While I have no doubt that Kanye's interest in fashion is sincere, it is his consistent lack of self-awareness - the such that permits him to believe that he could just be another entry level intern @ Louis Vuitton or any fashion house that would accept the tight jeanius that he brings to his work - that baffles the mind. I blame Y.O.U., the public, for creating an atmosphere that not only enables, but actively encourages this man's dalliance with delusion.

Because of Y.O.U., Kanye West (and other pretend purveyors of fashion leadership) regards his influential impact on the world as evidence of his pastel plastered brilliance rather than definitive confirmation that SHEEPle will follow any trend, anywhere, all the while trumpeting their individuality as they religiously dress and act like somebody else. I mean, who told this guy that not cutting your hair, wearing obscenely tight high water slacks and carrying a murse was revolutionary? Much like Lil Kim with her plastic surgery addiction (which did NOT start out as a problem, but, rather, a few small physical corrections), Kanye West has taken things too far. What the fuck? LOL.

Look, I know that this sounds like a complete indictment of Kanye West and, to an extent, it is. However, in all honesty, I do wish him well if this is where his heart truly leads him. He's had an incredibly rough 2 years and very much deserves his personal and creative space. Do ya thing homie.
