CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: With all of the stage crashing calamities of 2 weekends ago, coupled with the fact that I have a life of my very own, I have been remiss in not even mentioning that Michael "Air" Jordan was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Perhaps it is because, ever since his days @ the basketball factory that is the U.niversity of N.orth C.arolina, we have ALL known that his final fade-away shot as a professional would land in Springfield, MA. Michael Jordan redefined and revived the game of basketball and ascended to the top of a league that had already seen some of the world's greatest and most gifted athletes. Let's talk stats:

"Full Name: Michael Jeffrey Jordan
Born: 2/17/63 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
High School: Laney (Wilmington, N.C.)
College: North Carolina
Drafted: Chicago Bulls (1984)
Transactions: Signed with Washington Wizards, 9/25/01
Height: 6-6; Weight: 216 lbs.

Honors: Six-time NBA champion (1991-93, 1996-98); MVP (1988, '91, '92, '96, '98); 10-time All-NBA First Team (1987-93, 1996-98); All-NBA Second Team (1985); Defensive Player of the Year (1988); Nine-time All-Defensive First Team (1988-93, 1996-98); Rookie of the Year (1985); 14-time All-Star; All-Star MVP (1988, '96, '98); One of 50 Greatest Players in NBA History ('96); Olympic gold medalist (1984, '92)."

Yes, these incredible numbers speak to this man's legacy a H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks of alot more eloquently than even my high minded hyperbolic rants ever could ... true story.

Now, I have said all of this to say that, although this entry is technically about clothing, I refuse to pretend that I have not heard the groans from the "Peanut Gallery" that the big homie's acceptance speech @ the induction ceremony was more petty and punitive than gracious. What the fuck ever! Michael Jordan is a competitor. Very few of us will ever know what it is to be the focal point of our professions and to be challenged every single day of our life by greatness on a global scale. Mike was venting and having fun with it. Any sensitive thugs should go sign up for free hugs!

Michael Jordan may have ended his illustrious career with the Washington Wizards, but, he is obviously not a "wizard" with words. Again, what the fuck ever! My man just spoke from the heart. No amount of championships, awards or adulation should censor him. The NBA made billions upon billions of dollars off of this man and, @ the 2009 Basketball Hall Of Fame induction ceremony, his "Airness" showed that, in spite of his unparalleled GOD given talents and the well calibrated image that he had to protect in the corporate interests of the NBA, Nike and himself, he was and is a human being.

Hold up, there's something that this post is missing though. Oh yeah, the Limited Edition Michael Jordan Hall of Fame Commemorative T-Shirt, Hoody and Varsity/Letterman Jacket Package is undoubtedly cooked cocaine. The t-shirt is cool ... it's just something light. It's really all about the hoodie OR, if Y.O.U. have half-a-stack to let go, the black butter leather with the fancy-schmancy chenille embroidery. "Rare Air" indeed. Talk to me.
