NEW MUSIC: Swizz Beats - That Oprah + Grow Up.

Slowly, but surely, Swizz Beatz is becoming 1 of my favorite artists to listen to simply because he is expanding Hip Hop music's boundaries creatively AND his lyrical references (much like mine) introduce his audience to a new tax bracket. There's a beautiful and luxurious world out there, don't get stuck on Arabian scarfs, SZ: smedium t-shirts and replica Louis Vuitton Millionaire shades ... lol. Please award yourself yet another gold star if, after listening to this song, you know who Carlos Slim is (HINT: He is Mexican, but he is the furthest thing from a migrant worker). He sampled that awesome new Coldplay song too! Good shit!

Grow Up: As mentioned in the 1st part of this post, I respect where Swizz Beatz procures his style cues from (I am now willing to give him a pass on that Kid Robot fuckery). This is son's 2nd straight entry in the "Grow Up" section ... that's saying something yo. Anyway, in the picture below, the piece on the right is inspired by British art world sensation Damien Hirst's actual 100 million dollar VVS diamond encrusted skull installation work and the piece on the left, well, that just looks like a painting of Bela Lugosi as Dracula. Either way, both are MUCH better than Shawty Lo's "crack" medallion! Be different.
