CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Big S/O to director Jessy Terrero for taking it to the gutters of the Dominican Republic to accurately capture the modern day equivalent of the type of pure struggle hunger pains that inspired Al Pacino's fictional "Tony Montana" (NOTE: The original "thug motivator". Sorry Jeezy.) character in the 1983 crime manifesto "Scarface"; the man for whom new artist Future's current dope boy anthem is apptly named.
In related news, I have a question worth asking: Why come was Drizzy Drake - from the looks of this B.ehind T.he S.cenes video - a no-show to this set? Did "Wheelchair Jimmy" fear for his life and the safety of his sweater vest collection? Was the Santo Domingo location simply too real for his Girl Scout Cookies "Thin Mint" exterior? The world may never know the true story. I'ma just say this though, do NOT be surprised if Drake's contribution to this visual gets directly transmitted to the post-production editing suite via satellite from the comforts of a pre-lit green screen stage somewhere in Hollywood, CA ... or Toronto. LOL. It is what it is.
