The Limited Edition Hublot Big Bang King Power "Black Magic" Watch = The New Favorite Watch Of Alex Rodriguez x The Young Illuminati!

"35 year old star Yankee player Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod) entered a very small club of baseball players over the summer when he hit his 600th home run. That also made him the younger baseball player in history to reach the 600 home run mark. To celebrate this achievement, Hublot - in cooperation with Manfredi Jewels - awarded Rodriguez with a limited edition Hublot watch recently. A Rod received a Big Bang King Power Black Magic watch that comes in a 48mm wide ceramic bezeled case. It has a complex split second chronograph movement with a power reserve indicator as well as an exposed column wheel on the dial that is part of the chronograph mechanism. The watch is limited to just 500 pieces and is a luxury timepiece by all accords. See Alex wearing the watch in the image next to that of the timepiece."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: A good watch need not merely be a literal marker of time. Heavens, no! A sumptuous timepiece may also serve as a precious monument to a specific time - a thoughtful keepsake of a gift given on any special occasion worth commemorating in grand style. Such is the case with the limited edition Hublot Big Bang King Power "Black Magic" watch awarded to the New York Yankees Alex Rodriguez upon becoming the youngest player in M.ajor L.eague B.aseball history to hit 600 home runs.

With a relatively short production run of just 500 pieces (NOTE: While researching this entry, my-brother-from-the-same-glorious-mother, Niketown, posed a great simple question: "If this is for A-Rod hitting 600 home runs, how come they're not releasing 600 watches?" A very valid observation indeed. A full Livestyle inquest into the matter is now pending ... lol) this latest incarnation of Hublot's favorite son, the "Big Bang", continues this fanciful firm's triumphant march down the brave path that company founder Carlo Crocco blazed little more than 30 years ago. Yes, the original "Rubber Band Man" (NOTE: Sorry T.I. No disrespect intended my G. Pop a pill and chillax ... lol) Carlo Crocco introduced a new sort of informal luxury to the snooty world of horological purebreds and, since taking over design duties in 2004, C.E.O. Jean-Claude Biver has only succeeded in pushing this revolutionary brand to new heights of design reality.

While Hublot has never been known to shy away from obese diamond dials that toe that very fine line between brilliant badges of decadence and vulgar monstrosities, the Big Bang King Power "Black Magic" is truly a competent high end sports watch in every sense of the word. This timepiece is meant to be worn and enjoyed! Composed of a 48mm black ceramic case, this automatic split-second "Foudroyante" chronograph is a paean to functionality as art. Hey, who says that "utilitarian" is a bad word? LOL. If A-Rod can kick the steroids, so can Y.O.U.! LOL. Holla @ ya boy in BK!
