Cormega Talks Getting Booted From The Firm x More @ Theroundtable.

BONUS:

Although it can most certainly be argued that this group's parts where ultimately greater than it's sum, The Firm was an unequivocal success in 1 department - creative marketing.

Yes, it was the rip-roaring mid 1990's and Hip Hop was very publicly experiencing the growing pains of the nouveau riche. I mean, Sony gave Biggie's "business" partner Brooklyn, NY Grand Avenue dope boy C.E.O. Lance "Un" Rivera $60 million to launch his Untertainment Records imprint ... try getting $10 million for an upstart ANYTHING nowadays ... lol.

Anyway, Steve Stoute and the powers that be behind The Firm broke the bank on this 1 and managed to create a movie-like atmosphere around this project. Street niggas attempting to live out their oversized previously underfunded gangster fantasies gave us this! Peep the controversial original version of the song in question, "La Familia" ... always 1 of my favorites. Good shit!
