"Project X Designs presents their latest Rolex mods, the Stealth Mark III and Stealth Mark IV. Hearkening back to military Rolex Submariner (Mil-Sub) watches, the series updates the most modern Rolex Submariner Date watches with details dedicated to the British Special Boat Service (SBS) of the 50s to 70s – the back of each of watch features an engraving of the SBS frog logo and their “By Strength and Guile” motto. The Mark III watch is in steel with a black ceramic bezel insert, while the Mark IV model is in all black steel. Each watch comes on a khaki green NATO strap. Limited to 28 pieces each, and available only through Project X Designs."

CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: In the minds of many connoisseurs, the term "aftermarket" can conjure up murky images of otherwise perfectly fine timepieces being shoddily modified by unscrupulous jewelers all too ready to throw tradition and good taste underneath an oncoming bus for profits sake. I feel Y.O.U. However, specifically when a watch's embellishments do NOT involve the plastering of less than stellar treated diamonds all over the place, some thoughtful additions really can take an already impressive watch to the next level. Case In Point: The new Project X Designs "Stealth" Rolex Submariner Watch.
In recent years the Project X Designs firm has come on quite strong as 1 of the few 3rd party Rolex modifiers (NOTE: Project X Designs has NO connection to the Rolex brand other than liking to trick out many of their most popular models ... lol) that actually does it right!
As is their signature, this latest series of transformed timepieces from London based Project X Designs pays proper homage to the British S.pecial B.oat S.ervices (SBS) - in particular the technical resilience of the field watches issued to those troops during the 1950's-1970's.
The limited edition "Stealth" Submariner is available in 2 models: The Mark III and the Mark IV - respectively furnished in stainless steel with contrasting black ceramic bezel (The Mark III) and all black stainless steel (The Mark IV) and khaki green NATO strap . And THAT, boys and girls, is how Y.O.U. tastefully tweak a big time ticker aftermarket! Nice!
