CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Not content to creatively idle @ mere status symbol status, under the ever artful gaze of head designer Miuccia Prada, the venerable Prada fashion house has just released the "Fantasy Motionbook" - digital lookbook as short film that meshes real life photography and digital illustration to brilliant effect.

This Adobe® Illustrator®/CorelDRAW® enabled presentation showcases the best of the Italian luxury label's Fall/Winter 2010/2011 collection through original artwork from Alexander Reichert and Fausto Fantinuoli (OMA) and the photography of Phillip Meech.

Now, some have criticized the actual lookbook - which preceded this video, having been viewable online since July - as déclassé design passed off as high art. I disagree. While not of the mindset that artistic appreciation is completely subjective (NOTE: Because NOT all of what is considered "good" art is, in fact, good ... lol), I personally like the quirky sketchy collage result of this visual mash up.

Both the original lookbook and the "Fantasy Motionbook" drive the standard season-in-season-out industry standard lookbook forward and bring this collection alive in vivid color! Hey, what can I say? I'm a sucker for cool experimental concepts ... lol. Good shit!
