"This past summer we reported on a very sexy Christy Turlington shoot in W magazine wherein she posed as a "Greco-Roman warrior-goddess". For the magazine's brand new January issue, the stunning supermodel appears on the cover and in a multi-page spread inside showcasing spring fashions, shot by Mario Sorrenti. "With her perfect features and yoga honed body, Christy represents the unmatched standard in beauty," notes Models.com. "After all these years she still radiates high gloss perfection." It seems the Supermodel Revival continues apace."

"We’re big fans of both these brands, so picking these up was a no brainer, great style with that wayfarer edge."

"Though many have been praying for it's return for years, the Nike Air Total Max Uptempo has remained one of very few 90s classics to have gone unretroed up to this point. In 2009, that is all about to change. Many prayers will be answered as the OG Black/Neon Nike Air Total Max Uptempo will hit retail during the Fall of 2009.

There is a watch club many of us don't know about. Informal or not, the million dollar watch club boasts esteemed watch companies who have offered watches with prices of one million dollars or more. For a watch to reach such high value, an extremely decadent portion of precious jewels must be placed on most every millimeter of surface area on the face and case.
The newest member of the million dollar watch club is the Hublot Black Caviar Bang. Coming from the Big Bang line with all its derivatives, the Black Caviar Bang has an 18k white gold case and clasp that feature hundreds of precision cut black diamonds, for a total of 34.5 total carats. This includes 322 diamonds on the case, 179 on the bezel, and another 30 on the clasp at the end of the rubber strap. Black diamonds are exceedingly rare, and are attributed for most of the Black Caviar Bang's million dollar value.
Inside the watch is Hublot's specially manufactured manually wound HUB Solo T tourbillon movement. A beautifully designed face opens with a view on the one minute tourbillon, and diamonds are patterned into the face as the power reserve indicator. The design of the face is attractive and functional, but doesn't try very hard to be practical. With an impressive array of square cut black diamonds, the Hublot Black Caviar Bang register's high on the glitz scale as well as the exclusivity meter with a limited edition of only one piece.

"Two-Parent Black Families Showing Gains
By SAM ROBERTS
Published: December 17, 2008
The number of black children being raised by two parents appears to be edging higher than at any time in a generation, at nearly 40 percent, according to newly released census data.
Demographers said such a trend might be partly attributable to the growing proportion of immigrants in the nation’s black population. It may have been driven, too, by the values of an emerging black middle class, a trend that could be jeopardized by the current economic meltdown.
The Census Bureau attributed an indeterminate amount of the increase to revised definitions adopted in 2007, which identify as parents any man and woman living together, whether or not they are married or the child’s biological parents.
According to the bureau’s estimates, the number of black children living with two parents was 59 percent in 1970, falling to 42 percent in 1980, 38 percent in 1990 and 35 percent in 2004. In 2007, the latest year for which data is available, it was 40 percent."

"A one-of-a-kind six-seat Maybach 72 is being offered for sale for those who find the regular luxury model a bit too cramped. The car started out as a 2004 Maybach 62, and was stretched an extra 10 decimeters (about 3.3 ft.) in order to add an additional pair of rear-facing back seats. The one-off vehicle is being offered for sale at $780,000, twice what the unmodified Maybach originally cost. Our sister site Autoblog has an image gallery of the over-the-top limousine. Back in October we reported on Maybach's new $1.4 million open-topped Landaulet."
