CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS:Wooooooow! After the emotional breakdown suffered @ the hands of 50 Cent that had her droppin' it like it's hot during Lil Jon's set @ The MTV Video Music Awards in Miami a few years back like a straight bird, it appears that Vivica Fox has gotten her mind right (or as right as her mind can be) and reconciled with Curtis. Hey, if Y.O.U. like it, I L.O.V.E. it.
Available Online Here:JCrew.Com x @ J. Crew Stores Worldwide.
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Listen close my fellow Livestyle designer disciples as I proceed to let Y.O.U. in on a little secret: The "evolution" of style is largely steeped in history. That is to say that today's fashion language is more often than not very much yesterday's fashion language as well, a fact that lends itself to true timelessness. Whilst regrettable fashion foibles, thankfully, become things of the not-distant-enough past, a stylish closet should always be a harmonious collection of essential items with a gracious nod to the classics.
Much like the stock market, contemporary fashion is driven by emotion as apparel is an integral part of the way that individuals express their mode and mood to a superficial world. To that end, if I were to see a young person wearing these Quoddy® Grizzly Boots for J. Crew I would immediately regard them to be a kindred spirit of impeccable taste. Real recognize real.
Available in 3 smashing colorways (Peanut, Cromexel and Windsor Bison) these completely hand finished kickers (IE: No glue, staples, plastic molding or any other advanced mass production processes were harmed during the making of these boots. Tree huggers rejoice!) are the modern moccasins to own ... this season and beyond. Yeah, there is a lifetime warranty on these crepe soled bad boys too, so, feel free to tear up the city in these J. Crew gems my nigga! Drop a little over $300 and get to stuntin' ... lol. Good shit.
The First Lady Of LiveStyle Says:@SongzYuuup released the news about this leaked version of "Invented Sex" earlier today via Twitter featuring the legend we know as Usher and the talented Ms. Keri Hilson. She definitely bodied her verse, but it was better to hear Usher "Re-Invent Sex." Between me and Y.O.U.it almost sounded like he was trying to teach his young protegé a lesson. I wonder what my friend Rio has to say about this. Whatever the case may be, lesson learned. So what if I gave Y.O.U. a double dose of Trey today? Admit it ... it was worth it. I'm not complaining, my fellow LiveStyle Ladies aren't, and Y.O.U. better not be either! Enjoy! ;c )
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Believe me, I take no joy in admitting to this, however, to thine self I must be true - I have been an active enabler in my little sister's self-destructive and debilitating Trey Songz addiction. I apologize for her behavior. She will be seeking professional help over Christmas vacation ... please keep her and other young women afflicted with the Trey1N1 virus in your prayers. Message To Aisha: Dude, get a room!
The First Lady of LiveStyle Says: As my title holds, I know that I am not supposed to be an emotional mess but leave it to Trey Songz to make me all mushy and wish I was in a relationship. (Key Word:wish) With my iTunes play count at a staggering 189 plays, I can honestly say "One Love" might be one of my all time favorite songs, EVER. Although I like the album version better than this live rendition, if Y.O.U. listen to the lyrics, the feelings and emotions of the song are still evident. Note to Trey: "Ain't Y.O.U. tired of the runnin' around. Don't Y.O.U. wanna be my only boo?" Okay.. Okay.. I'm done. LOL! ;c )
(NOTE:Livestyle devotees and loyal "Brunch Bunch" enthusiasts will immediately recognize the unique nature of this entry. In the interest of maintaining quality control, content integrity and in order to discourage favortism of random hoes, I have upheld a personal creed that I would not enter multiple pictures of any individual in a single post ... however, today, I have clearly broken that rule. I trust that as adults we can ALL understand why. Who the fuck is this girl? Woooooooooooooooow!)
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Yes, that is the talented Maple Leaf MC Drake's seemingly fetal alcohol syndrome damaged face gracing the cover of the new and possibly improved Vibe Magazine's relaunch issue. I mean, with all of the hype surrounding the homie he kinda had to get top billing, right? Oh how I hope that his still fledgling career does not get caught in the gears of this vicious hype machine. Oh yeah, check out the Alicia Keys joint "Un-thinkable (I'm Ready)" featuring "Wheelchair Jimmy" off of her forthcoming LP too! Good shit.
The First Lady Of LiveStyle Says: After reading theDope.Boy.Magic watermark, Y.O.U. should already know what I'm going to say. From my understanding, these magnificent sweatshirts are limited to approximately 40 pieces. Y.O.U. can mark my words, at $40 a piece these crewnecks are going to sell out like cooked crack (And thats if they haven't already)! Message To Dope. Boy. Magic.: Yall might have to re-up pronto. Somebody get the connect on line 1 ... lol.
My Broseph Joseph has been putting in sweat, blood, and tears to get these printed in the confines of what he calls the "trap house". If Y.O.U. are in the Chicago area, do yourself the ultimate favor and head over to the Leaders flagship store in Wicker Park and see if he's still got some left. Or hit him up on Twitter @JoeFreshGoods. Either way, act fast! I've said it before and I'll most certainly say it again: Early Is Never Early Enough!
Download Link: Lupe Fiasco- Enemy of The State: A Love Story The First Lady Of LiveStyle Says: He's Back!!! About damn time Lupe. Y.O.U. know I'm an avid sponsor of any and every thing to come out of Chicago, with the exception of a select few. Like Kanye, Lupe likes to go into hiding, but to see him come back to the game with such force was more than gratifying.
Lupe's soaring freestyle cover of Timbaland and Drake's "Say Something" might be my favorite out of everything I've heard. Then again, it is Lupe. What else should I expect? Nothing less than excellence. Thank Y.O.U. Lupe!
The 1st Lady Of LiveStyle Says: I have to sincerely apologize for my absence around here. But hear me out. Between Thanksgiving and studying for my dreadful finals, I was busy celebrating my BIRTHDAY! Please forgive me. ;c ) I'm some days late, but let me fill you in on my weekend.
First, I have to thank my brother Chris Live (A.K.A. Shaker) for officially making me a part of his family this year for Thanksgiving dinner. I really don't think Y.O.U. guys understand how much I L.O.V.E. and appreciate everything he does for me. This LiveStyle LadyY.O.U. see before Y.O.U. is a product of his schooling and foremost L.O.V.E. I am more than honored to call myself a LiveStyle Lady. Note to Chris: Thank Y.O.U. Need I say more? :c )
Second, I want to thank everyone who came out to "All Black Everything" @ 40/40 in Atlantic City on Black Friday to bring in my birthday the right way. Despite the fact that none of my girls could make it due to legal issues, I had the time of my life. Get your I.D's ready for next year ladies! Luckily I had all of my Flow Famlay: Maya Maya, Pharoah, Tokyo Dee, Terry, Kiane, Kou, Justin, Lexx and Max, (Y.O.U. were there in spirit.) Shout out to my boys from DaCyph: Lionel & Fred. Wes from Get Wet Ent. And most importantly, I had to save the best for last, my DohCare family: Adisa and Norris . Y.O.U. guys made my night what it was and I can't thank Y.O.U. enough.
Third, I have to give a special thank Y.O.U. to my ex suitemate/best friend/sister Katrina Celicia. (Oh yea, and my suegro Ariel too.) Besides being a socialite and a shopping addict, if Y.O.U. know me, Y.O.U. know I am a true fiend for Junior's cheesecake. For dinner, I was genuinely happy to look around the table to see Harlem's princesses, Delaney and Samantha, and my little sister from Seattle Katleiah. It was my first birthday without my family back in Chicago, but I was blessed to be able to spend my time with people who I love just as much. Katrina and Chris remind me that it takes more than just blood to be considered family. They are my backbone and strength in New Yorkand I L.O.V.E. them from the bottom of my heart.
To everyone else who wished me a happy birthday via Twitter, Facebook, text, & phone calls. Thank Y.O.U. I sincerely appreciate it all.
"The Christian Louboutin brand is well known for their womens shoes, however many forget that they have some interesting mens shoe designs up their sleeves. For the Spring/Summer 2010 Christian Louboutin previewed some shoes from their mens shoe collection. As you can tell, the main theme of this collection was silver-toned spikes which are covering the black & white [Louis] sneakers as well as the Freddy flat dress shoes. Priced around $1,200 would you wear these?"
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Finally, the current heavyweight champ of luxurious arch altering and posterior redfining women's high heels (NOTE: Sorry Manolo Blahnik ... no disrespect kid) has come to his senses and shared his signature red lacquered sole with the fellas. Yes, fresh from his highly anticpated @ retail Spring/Summer 2010 Collection come a too-short-to-ride-the-roller-coaster range of men's "Freddy" shoes and "Louis" sneakers from Christian Louboutin.
Evidently inspired by the legendary pro-wrestling tandem of Animal and HawkAKA The Road Warriors/The Legion Of Doom, the sartorial success of these kick-me-swiss-cheese-me toe topper showstoppers depend heavily on the individual. For instance, if Y.O.U. are an attention whore Y.O.U. might pull a full douche bag maneuver and pair such stellar statement sneakers with a spiked wristband, spiked belt, spiked dog collar and, of course, the pièce de résistance - a spike addled leather jacket. Such actions are frowned upon here @ Livestyle.
No, I much prefer the minimalist approach that Pharrell has taken allowing these $1,200 bad boys to do both the walking AND the talking. No need to O.D. homie ... mix a bit of tradition with a splash of experimentation and you'll be good money. Class is now in session.
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Now, I have no idea what correlation this video has to the actual song, however, thank Y.O.U. for this visual Jeremih, today, Y.O.U. are a gentleman and a scholar.
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: Peep my ace real nigga Trap-Lo from TrillzTV with the good '96 Ralph Lauren Polo Anniversary Knit @ the 45 second mark of this Juelz Santana featuring Lil Wayne "Home Run" behind the scenes video. Good shit!
"Tokyo’s Bounty Hunter started out as being vinyl figure brand rather than apparel brand at the beginning but recently they are more known for their dark collection. Almost all of their item, whether it be figures or apparel, are made in black base color with white details. However their cult like following is still strong today as back in the day.
Their latest Stadium Jacket is typical Bounty Hunter style which is made as a special piece to celebrate the release of ZOZO Mook by Japanese shopping network ZOZOTOWN. On the back of the jacket features a large black skull and bones design with Bounty Hunter lettering in white on top and bottom. The black felt body is accented with black leather detailing in the shoulders making tone on tone contrast ad white double stripe ribbing on the cuffs and waist. This item is scheduled to be released mid December from Bounty Hunter on ZOZO and available in limited numbers only."
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: My father has a favorite saying of his that where Y.O.U. stand on an issue depends on where Y.O.U. sit. It's nothing to see young helpless Japanese tourists scouring the streets of New York City looking for authentic bits of Hip Hop Americana and, increasingly, in turn, much of the fashion world looks to the "Land Of The Rising Sun" for fresh innovation and inspiration. Now, THIS is a foreign exchange program that I can totally get with.
Akin to other Japan based underground luxe labels such as Hysteric Glamour and denim demigods NEIGHBORHOOD, Bounty Hunter has established itself as a vanguard brand and the Fall/Winter 2009 Stadium Jacket succeeds in further cementing their still growing legacy. The masterful material mercenaries @ Bounty Hunter have been all about the color black waaaaaaaaaaaaay before the current ebony fad blew into town, so, just consider today's mode infatuation as the world simply catching up to them.
Composed of felt and accented @ the shoulders with rich leather this varsity jacket send up features a massive "Jolly Roger" tonal leather patch on the back ensconced by the "Bounty Hunter" name surrounding it. Don't trip, there are certain brands that the suckers and the latecomers can't touch ... let alone fathom. Get yours.
"The Breguet Classique Grande Complication 7639 is a unique watch in every sense. The watch uses the Breguet Caliber 567/2 manually wound movement forty hour power reserve with a minute repeater which chimes the minutes at the press of a button. Breguet consulted with leading sound-system specialists in order to make the sound pure though the use of diamond conduction. The dial is paved with three hundred and ninety two princess cut diamonds set upside down so that they appear not to be set. The case is made of eighteen carat white gold and set with one hundred and seventy eight baguette cut diamonds whilst the clasp is set with forty two baguette cut diamonds."
CHRIS LIVE AKA SHAKER SAYS: While I exited the super gaudy diamond watch train a looooooooong time ago, when such unique acoustic brilliance as the Breguet Classique Grande Complication 7639 is achieved, there is always room for exception.
Breguet's latest horological masterpiece is an 18kt white gold, invisibly set diamond beauty that actually chimes @ the push of a button. Yes, the legendary firm that introduced the tourbillion technology has done it again!
Featuring a pristine hand-wound movement and a “Clou de Paris” pattern-like dial, this decadently decorated minute repeater watch beautifully illustrates the juncture of expert craftsmanship and ballin' out of control! LOL. Finally, a timepiece that nouveau riche novices and demanding connoisseurs can both enjoy. The time has come.
BONUS:
Seriously, although my random references can often be Machiavellian in nature, there is some shit that Y.O.U. just have to know. The allusion to Lil Kim in the title of this post is 1 of them. Shout out to my sister-from-another-misterShaka Don (Her story will be told) and cousin Chaney smoking cigars on the escalator (NOTE: This was filmed in the late, great World Trade Center) in this video ... O.G. Gabbana Girls for real. Holla @ ya boy in BK!
I'm the last money in and I'm the 1st money out in any situation. I am a Brooklyn born and bred MC with a keen sense of self and I appreciate forward thinking with regard to any endeavor. I am NOT your average rapper. I'm a hood socialite. The following will give you true insight to me as a man, my music and my unique LIVESTYLE. I does this for real homie!
The world is filled with blogs AND hoes, I'll just talk about those I know.
